We brought our beloved dog to this facility with symptoms of extreme thirst, hunger, an eye irritation and some other minor symptoms. He was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and an eye allergy. He was prescribed medication to control maintain his thyroid and given some drops for his eyes. About two weeks later he returned to the facility with some of the same symptoms and the same eye irritation. The dose of medication for the thyroid was adjusted and the medication for the eyes continued. Two weeks after the symptoms were better but still exists but the eye irritation still remained, we went to another local vet who referenced us to an optical specialist. It was then he was diagnosed with SARDS (sudden acquired retina detachment syndrome). He was put on a medication called Ocuglo to try to save what ocular cells he has left. I feel this should have been diagnosed or at least mentioned in the very beginning as a possibility? He had all of the symptoms? I just don't get it.....
