Our kitty has been experiencing very bad allergies for the past few years.... itchy red ears with a lot of yeast/bacteria. Dr Peden and her staff at D4A have been the answer to our prayers...finally a solution after seeing three other Veterinarians. Our fur baby is well on the road to recovery... scratching less and playing more. We are beyond thankful for the wonderful care we received by Dr Peden and the entire office staff at Dermatology for Animals

TOXIC & HOSTILE RECEPTIONIST - TAKE YOUR MONEY AND FURBABY ELSEWHERE. I was referred to this vet because my pup has chronic ear/allergy issues. I called on Thursday 12/12/24 in the afternoon, the girl (RYAN) who answered was so rude from the onset. She was rude enough that if I wasn’t desperate for my dog to get the help she needs - I would have hung up on her THAT DAY. HER NAME IS RYAN. However, we needed a specialist and I wasn’t going to let a rude gatekeeper prevent me from an appointment with someone that might help my dog. Made the appointment for the following Wednesday which is today 12/18/24. She stated when I made the appointment that I would receive paperwork via email. The paperwork never arrived so before getting in my car and driving an hour - I called in advance this morning to confirm the appointment and let them know I hadn’t received the paperwork. Same rude gatekeeper answers and guess what? She didn’t record the appointment so of course I wasn’t on the schedule. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. She should have apologized and confirmed the appointment…like a normal functioning adult. Instead, she started acting like it was somehow my fault and said, “well 50% of our patients never get the paperwork so that’s why I said that.” As someone that owns my own practice, I would never be so flippant with patients and the process of initiating care. This is the type of thing you expect from a teenager with no skills working a fast food window at McDonalds, not a specialty clinic. She escalated and started throwing out other dates and had such a passive aggressive, hostile attitude and tone that I had had enough. I told her EXACTLY how she was acting and that I would be leaving a review for her behavior. She hung up on me. $350 for an initial appointment, one might think at those rates that this office could afford to be respectful and professional to their patients. If this clinic thinks this is acceptable and employs people who act this way…I’ll drive to Miami before I give them a dime. AVOID.
