Kind, yes. But instead of doing a biopsy on a spot it was straight to surgery to cut most of it out only to find progressing cancer after the surgery. Shorting the pets life by weeks. Still tried again with 2nd pet on a simple procedure months later and many drugs later and limited testing ended with us taking them to an ER vet out of town and ONE overnight stay and 1400 dollars later they were back to normal. We will NEVER go back and will NEVER recommend.

Welcome to Cornerstone Veterinary Services

Welcome to Cornerstone Veterinary Services, a Pet Hospital located at 621 Terry Wilcutt Hwy, Russellville, KY 42276, USA. You can contact them by phone at (270) 725-1591 or their mobile number, +1 270-725-1591. As a local pet hospital serving the Russellville community, Cornerstone Veterinary Services aims to provide veterinary care for your animal companions. Based on the available customer reviews, experiences with this clinic appear to be varied, highlighting both positive and negative aspects of their services and approach.

While specific details about the clinic's environment are not explicitly mentioned in the reviews, a typical pet hospital like Cornerstone Veterinary Services would generally feature a reception area for clients and their pets, examination rooms where veterinarians can assess animals and discuss health concerns, and potentially surgical suites and recovery areas depending on the scope of their services. The clinic likely has the necessary equipment for basic examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

The reviews provide insights into the types of services offered at Cornerstone Veterinary Services. One positive review details an emergency situation involving a large dog with gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV), a life-threatening condition requiring immediate surgery. The review praises Dr. Tabor for recognizing the severity of the condition and offering to perform the complex surgery at a significantly lower cost than an emergency veterinary hospital in another city. The successful outcome of this surgery and the subsequent care provided to the dog suggest that Cornerstone Veterinary Services is equipped to handle emergency surgical cases and provide post-operative care.

In contrast, a negative review describes two unfavorable experiences. In the first instance, the reviewer claims that instead of performing a biopsy on a spot, the clinic proceeded directly to surgery, removing a significant portion of tissue, only to later discover progressing cancer. The reviewer suggests that this approach may have shortened the pet's life. The second negative experience involved a simpler procedure on a different pet, which allegedly required multiple drugs and limited testing, eventually necessitating a costly emergency vet visit elsewhere for resolution. This review raises concerns about diagnostic approaches, treatment protocols for routine issues, and the potential for incurring unexpected costs.

Dr. Tabor is specifically mentioned in the positive review, highlighting her surgical skills, compassion, and willingness to help in a critical situation when cost was a significant factor for the pet owners. The reviewer strongly recommends Dr. Tabor and the staff. This suggests that the clinic has at least one veterinarian capable of performing complex surgeries and a staff that is perceived as helpful and caring by some clients.

However, the negative review does not mention specific staff members but criticizes the decision-making process regarding diagnosis and treatment. The stark contrast between these two accounts indicates a potential inconsistency in the quality of care or communication, or perhaps different experiences based on the nature of the pet's condition and the chosen treatment path.

There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Features of Cornerstone Veterinary Services, based on the positive review, appear to include the capacity to handle emergency surgical cases like GDV and a willingness by at least one veterinarian (Dr. Tabor) to work with pet owners facing financial constraints in emergency situations. The negative review, however, suggests a potential feature of proceeding with surgery without a prior biopsy in some cases and a possible tendency towards extensive medication and limited testing for certain ailments.

Given the mixed feedback, local users considering Cornerstone Veterinary Services should approach with caution and seek further information. It would be beneficial to inquire about the clinic's diagnostic protocols, especially regarding potentially cancerous growths, and their approach to routine procedures and testing. Understanding their policies on emergency care, cost estimates for various procedures, and the availability of different treatment options would also be advisable. Speaking directly with the clinic staff and potentially seeking additional testimonials from other local pet owners could provide a more well-rounded perspective on the services and care provided at Cornerstone Veterinary Services.

In conclusion, Cornerstone Veterinary Services in Russellville, KY, operates as a Pet Hospital offering a range of veterinary care, including emergency surgery as demonstrated in one positive customer experience. However, another customer reported significant dissatisfaction with the diagnostic and treatment approaches for two different pets. This divergence in experiences underscores the importance for local pet owners to conduct thorough research and potentially seek direct communication with the clinic to determine if their services align with their pet's specific needs and their expectations for veterinary care.

Our beloved dog a large 100 lbs labradoddle named Benji became very sick. His poor stomach was swollen 3 times the normal size and rock hard to the touch. We rushed him to Cornerstone Veterinary Clinic. There Dr Tabor rushed him in for x-rays or scans. She determined that Benji鈥檚 stomach had twisted. A condition known as gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV), The situation was life threatening and emergency surgery was required immediately . The doctor first suggested we take him to an emergency hospital for animals in Clarksville,TN. We asked her about the surgery cost there. She said a minimum of $5000-$10,000 dollars. That was definitely a cost we couldn鈥檛 afford. At that point Dr Tabor said she could try and do the surgery with no guarantee of success, but hopefully we got Benji there before any damage to the stomach and surrounding organs had occurred. The cost of the surgery would be approximately $2000 dollars at Cornerstone Veterinary Clinic . So we agreed and hope and prayed for a miracle, and successful surgery. To our astonishment the surgery was quite successful and we were joyful 馃槃. Well Benji spent the next several days at the clinic and through out the weekend until he was able to come home on Monday. Benji is now receiving medication every 12 hrs daily. He is recuperating and recovering quite well. My wife and I would like to thank Dr Tabor for her excellent surgical skills and kind passionate heart too help our dog. We highly recommend Dr Tabor and her amazing staff at Cornerstone Veterinary Clinic. 馃憤 A++++

Worst vet ever, she vet didn't even have the decency to come talk to me after killing my dog. They are price gouging everything to make it unaffordable. Then I was told to hurry up while I was saying goodbye to my dog Kodi.

Recently my husband and I was recommended to taking our dogs here. It was worth the forty five minute drive. From large animals to small this two vets are highly diverse, updated with all the new technology to save your pet, or just a wellness check. The office is spotless along with the exam rooms. The personable call to me from the veterinarians when I鈥檓 lost and worried. I was impressed and feel both really care. We quickly switched to both vets the best move we ever could have chosen. Recently we needed help to make a hard decision, one of the hardest I had to do, especially when it鈥檚 your child. Down to the front office, Veterinarian Assistant, the best you will find, worth the drive! I wouldn't go any where else to trust my service dog with, or one in training. Not with Bravo, Chloe, or our new member Ki鈥橩i. I highly recommend this awesome gem of a veterinarian office that treats all, especially horses.
