I had taken my guinea pig Uni to the 24 hour emergency vet and there they found a bladderstone through an xray. I immediately searched up good experienced vets near me and came across this one. I wanted her in good hands so an hour+ drive didnt matter for me. They took Uni in, examined her and took her to do surgery right away! The doctors and staff were really nice and explained everything thoroughly. Uni's visit was in January and she wouldn't be here today without them so if you need a really good guinea pig vet I 100% recommend coming here. I can't thank them enough ❤️

Dec 20, 2024 · Andrea AThis is a great pet hospital to take your rabbit to. Dr. Sandra Lewellen is very knowledgeable and she doesn't try to make you pay for services that aren't needed. My rabbit is recovering great in her care. They are also very affordable.
May 12, 2025 · KimWe have guinea pigs and had to find a vet that could work with them. Now we also have a pit bull who has bad allergies. I couldn't have asked for a better team of vets! They are so gentle and caring with all of our animals. The doctor performed surgery on one guinea pig and also spayed our dog. The level of care and experience the doctors and staff have make it worth driving further to see them, instead of a closer vet or one of the "big box" pet store vets. If you want good care, take your pet to a vet. If you want the best care, take your pet to Chaparral Pet Hospital. Since Google maps always wants an update common here it is. They are still the best veterinarian ones that I could ever recommend. My dog got her extra shots today to update the ladies and other vaccines and she was so excited to go to the vet! She gets so excited that not just her tail but her whole butt wiggles! She is a 66 lb Pitbull and there's a big dog. The people there are so friendly to her that even though she get some shots she just loves them! She likes to go for rides and she likes to go for walks so taking her to the vet just really makes her excited in general. When we get out of our truck she knows which business and which door to go to. The pictures show her staring under the door and sniffing to see what is on the other side of the exam room. I couldn't get her to look at me without moving for 2 seconds! Lol They treat her so well that she's always excited to go back! Update; Our guinea pig Kaya passed away. We took her to the vet to be euthanized so she wouldn't suffer but she passed away as we were walking in to the office. The staff was so kind to us, Kaya was 7 1/2 years old and they took care of her and her sister the whole time.( Her sister Mira passed a while ago) As painful as it was they helped us through this. We still have 2 cats and our pitbull but the guinea pigs were the longest pets we've ever had. I can't thank the vets and the staff enough for all they have done for us. We will continue to use them for our other pets. ❤️🐶🐱🐯 And no, the cats didn't get to the guinea pigs! 😁
May 12, 2025 · RodneyThe ladies at the desk were very pleasant and accommodating I was taken back in a short amount of time actually earlier than my appointment. The doctor very efficiently examined my bird and Told me his lungs and heart and grooming were very good, but because he only eats seeds and occasionally other things, I explain to her, but he was raised on seeds. She decided that he should get some lab work. Avian lab work is very expensive, but my bird is worth every penny. This is a very professional place and I really appreciate how gentle they were with my bird. I definitely recommend this place.
