Welcome to Champlain Valley Veterinary Services

Champlain Valley Veterinary Services (CVVS), located at 453 State Rte 3, Plattsburgh, NY 12901, USA, is a modern and inviting facility that operates as a full-service "Pet Hospital." It is dedicated to providing quality veterinary care for dogs and cats in Plattsburgh, New York, and the surrounding communities. CVVS prides itself on its team of skilled veterinarians and numerous caring support staff who are committed to their patients, clients, and the community.

The environment at Champlain Valley Veterinary Services is designed to be both professional and welcoming, fostering a positive experience for pets and their owners. Reviews consistently highlight the "super nice front desk people" and the overall pleasantness of the staff, which contributes to a comfortable atmosphere. The hospital is described as a "clean space," indicating a strong commitment to hygiene and a healthy environment for animal patients. As a modern veterinary hospital, it is equipped with the necessary facilities for comprehensive care, including examination rooms, diagnostic areas, and surgical suites. The layout and flow of the clinic aim to provide efficient and effective care, minimizing stress for the animals. The emphasis on genuine care and a personalized approach, such as staff taking the time to say a dog's name properly, suggests a warm and attentive environment where pets are treated as individuals. This thoughtful approach helps pets, like "Raddy" who was "glad to be there," feel more at ease during their visits.

Champlain Valley Veterinary Services offers a comprehensive suite of veterinary services tailored to meet the individual needs of each pet, emphasizing preventive care. Their core services include thorough wellness examinations, which are vital for early detection of potential health issues and overall health monitoring. They provide customized vaccination protocols based on a pet's age, breed, lifestyle, and medical history. Diagnostic capabilities are robust, featuring an on-site laboratory for quick and accurate results on blood tests and urinalyses, as well as digital X-rays for internal imaging. A significant aspect of their service offering is pet laser therapy, a modern treatment option used for pain management, reducing inflammation, and accelerating healing. CVVS also specializes in both soft tissue and orthopedic pet surgery, covering a wide range of procedures from routine spays and neuters to more complex interventions like amputation, knee surgeries (ACL and Luxating Patella), Femoral Head and Neck Ostectomy (FHO), and treatment of broken bones (pinning, splinting). Dental care, including cleanings and other procedures, is also a key service to maintain oral health. Beyond these, they provide general medical care for various illnesses and injuries, nutritional counseling, and pharmacy services for pet medications and products. While their primary focus is on dogs and cats, some information suggests they may also extend care to small mammals and poultry, including preventive care, illness visits, consultations, diagnostics, and surgical options for these non-traditional pets.

Several features make Champlain Valley Veterinary Services stand out. The genuine compassion and care demonstrated by the staff, including veterinarians like Dr. Pellerin and support staff like Morgan, are consistently praised by clients. This personal touch, where staff genuinely "cares for my dog" and makes an effort to learn and use a pet's name correctly, creates a strong bond of trust and comfort for pet owners. The hospital's commitment to timely service, fitting in appointments "in a very timely manner," is a significant advantage for busy pet parents. Furthermore, CVVS embraces modern convenience through technology. They offer a new mobile app via PetDesk, which allows clients to easily book appointments online 24/7, request prescription refills, and view and share their pet's vaccination records. This digital integration streamlines administrative tasks and enhances accessibility to pet health information. The hospital's emphasis on tailoring recommendations to each pet's specific needs, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, highlights their personalized and patient-centric care philosophy. The expertise in advanced procedures such as laser therapy and a wide range of orthopedic surgeries positions them as a capable facility for complex medical needs. Their continuous positive feedback, with a high percentage of reviewers stating they would refer the clinic, underscores their consistent delivery of high-quality service and patient satisfaction. They also demonstrate a willingness to work with clients financially, as mentioned in a review, which is a crucial feature for many pet owners.

While specific widespread promotional campaigns are not explicitly detailed, Champlain Valley Veterinary Services actively uses its excellent reputation and convenient features as key promotional tools. The availability of online booking and the PetDesk mobile app are presented as modern conveniences that attract tech-savvy pet owners looking for efficient service. They promote their comprehensive range of services, from routine wellness to advanced surgical options, positioning themselves as a one-stop solution for pet health. The hospital highlights its "superb veterinarians, and numerous caring support staff" as a major draw, emphasizing the human element of their care. They may also run seasonal promotions or special offers, as is common in the veterinary industry, encouraging preventive care during specific times of the year (e.g., dental health month, senior pet wellness). For current promotions, potential clients are best advised to visit their official website or contact them directly via phone at (518) 563-5551 or +1 518-563-5551. The positive customer reviews, particularly those mentioning the caring nature of the staff and the quality of medical care, serve as powerful testimonials that undoubtedly drive new client acquisition through word-of-mouth referrals within the Plattsburgh community.

I really feel like CVVS genuinely cares for my dog, right down to saying his name properly. They fit us in, in a very timely manner and are all very pleasant. I am very pleased with Tuggie's care!

All of the reception and staff here have been really great in the years I've been coming here with my cats, Jasmine and Saschi. They've all been friendly and accommodating any time I've been there, or whenever I contact them. Dr. Pellerin is simply the best. I never feel rushed during appointments. She listens to all my concerns and offers solid recommendations and advice to all of them. She has been instrumental in helping me keep Jasmine as happy and healthy as possible. And, with the more recent addition of Saschi, I feel confident that her health is in excellent hands, as well. The ONLY reason I subtracted a star is that I wish they offered after hours and emergency care. Currently the only option I'm aware of, is having to go to Vermont....in an emergency, that's really not a viable option. But again, I want to stress, for the hours they ARE available, I wouldn't trust my pets with anyone else.

Absolutely great clinic. I have a feral dod that I am trying to socialize. From Dr. Pellerin to the technicians and the front office I have received an A+ service. Their friendliness, understand (Gigi did not smell good at all) and gentleness was ❤️ warming. Thank you. Sincerely, Maryline

I’m normally not one to post reviews, but the empathy and respect that this office consistently shows to both me and my pets needs to be shared. They work with me financially, are fully transparent in the care and health of my pets, and always take my concerns seriously. I wouldn’t want to bring my pets anywhere else, they’re in the best hands at Champlain Valley Vet and I will always recommend them!
