Great place. They are always so gentle with my guinea pigs! In my experience, they are very easy to get appointments in, week of. And when I have called to ask questions to the veterinarian, I always get a call back within the day! Staff are all friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them!

Thank you for your quick response to my wife’s review of your business. Let’s set the record straight “During Shasta’s appointment, his anxiety and discomfort made it unsafe to proceed with X-rays without causing him additional stress or potential injury”. We too are concerned about our pets’ distress and extra stress that would have been placed on the dog by bringing him back as well as the stress he would have faced waiting for another appointment to receive the x-rays. There was no explanation given as to why Shasta could not receive sedation and x-rays that day while he was already there. “We also explained that returning for X-rays would not require another exam fee—only the imaging itself.” This is wonderful, and misleading on your part. Finances were not the issue, to re-iterate the issue was the lack of concern for the dogs’ stress levels at returning for yet another visit to receive sedation and x-ray. No advantage to leaving to come back. Unless your organization was not prepared to perform the required services. “The option for sedation was declined due to concerns about making another visit” at the risk of sounding redundant, this was not about making another visit, it was about putting undo stress, unnecessarily on our family member. In Shasta’s paperwork, your office noted that Shasta was "very nervous but did well with owner holding his head during exam today. When walked into x-ray room, Shasta immediately began attempting to bite, defecated. Unable to safely apply muzzle or complete radiographs today." You never told my wife about him attempting to bite. You also indicated that she stated that he attempted to bite her in his intake paperwork. She never, with 100% certainty, said he attempted to bite her. He has NEVER attempted to bite her or anyone. So, somebody is not very truthful or is a bit dramatic) My wife made a phone call to another local vet. They scheduled us for a visit within two days. Again, Shasta was anxious. The doctor very professionally identified the dog’s anxiety and suggested that he be sedated for some x-rays. The process was all done same day and within less than an hour we had results. Not the results we would have liked, but a direction. He also NEVER remotely attempted to bite the vet, his assistant, or staff at the vets office and he completed a full examination. He opted to sedate him because of need to position for appropriate diagnostic x-rays of his leg and lungs. It was determined that Shasta has a very aggressive cancer in his bones (where the initial concern was) and it has made its way into his lungs. He has been given 4 months to a year, but no one really knows, so the days that it would have taken to “reschedule to get sedation and an x-ray” would have made little difference. Then to further insult from your office, your organization, without our knowledge or consent just mailed us all our other animal’s health records. Thanks for making the decision easy for us, we will never use your services again, nor will we recommend or refer anyone to you. Best of luck.

Make sure you want your pet to make it out alive. They are all about pushing vaccines and pushing meds but prime at missing the core problem. They play guessing games. Thankful we were able to find a new vet right away Friday for our other pup after we had to put our dog down after a week of begging for help but they kept playing guessing games. I wouldn't bring a fly here. So quick to blame my dogs weight and arthritis he had an aggressive cancer maybe some bloodwork after loosing almost 15 lbs in a week, bloody diarrhea, not eating, and much more. OHHH its his weight and arthritis.

Extremely disappointed. I went for a sick visit with my dog who is obviously in pain and, yes, very nervous. XRay was attempted. He could not be positioned, had an accident (bowels) while attempting. He was gone for maybe 10 minutes. He was brought back out to me and, though explained the concern for stressing him further which I respect, I was advised he could return at another time when he could be offered mild sedation. So I paid for a sick visit and do not understand why this couldn’t be done while there - no explanation offered as to why it could not be done at that time. I was offered pain medication, and we were sent on our way. At check out, I was not offered to reschedule. Instead, I will need to coordinate another visit to get X-rays for a concerning mass on his leg. Was satisfied until now with services, but I feel Dr. Spader handled this poorly. And, yes, I am upset because I am worried about my dog. **In follow up...I do understand that you were taking Shasta's well-being into consideration and I do appreciate that. You response "The option for sedation was declined due to concerns about making another visit" are completely not true. A better option would have been to offer sedation at the time of visit, or perhaps ask me to come in to help calm him for X-ray - NOT you can come back another time. You are correct in that your recommendations for come back at another time did not "align with [my] expectations" I was there for a sick visit, all efforts to do what needed and could be done at the time, should have been. Further, in his notes, that Shasta "immediately began attempting to bite" and that you were "unable to safely muzzle" which you never stated to me. Additionally, I awoke this morning, logged into my email and found the records of all of my animals. It is safe to assume that this is your way of discharging them/us from your practice, instead of a professional attempt at resolve and no discussion about your wish that we did not return.
