We brought our sweet boy Mr. Moo Cow in to get his 1st full work up. After dropping him off at 8 am, we were able to pick him up at 2:30 pm. The ladies we encountered were kind and helpful in explaining his procedures. Everything went smoothly and Moo was happy to see us. Our feline was treated at a good price and service was done in a reasonable time frame. My family highly recommends Barnes Veterinarian Hospital.

Their commitment to comfort and high-quality veterinary medicine is clear in their mission.
Barnes Veterinary Hospital offers an extensive range of services, truly operating as a full-service "Pet Hospital" that covers various aspects of animal health. Their comprehensive offerings include:
Preventive and Wellness Care: This forms the core of their services, emphasizing regular check-ups and wellness exams to evaluate overall health, establish baselines, and detect potential problems early. They offer tailored vaccination protocols for both puppies/kittens and adult pets, as well as nutritional counseling to address dietary needs and combat common issues like pet obesity. Puppy and kitten care also extends to discussing behavior, socialization, and neutering.
Advanced Diagnostic Services: To ensure accurate and timely diagnoses, the hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools. This includes advanced digital X-rays for clear internal imaging of organs and bones, and ultrasound capabilities for thorough visualization of soft tissues like the heart, kidneys, liver, and bladder. They also have onsite diagnostics for quick lab results, including blood tests, urine tests, and fecal tests, and access to veterinary specialists for complex cases.
Veterinary Surgery: Barnes Veterinary Hospital performs a wide variety of surgical procedures. This ranges from routine operations such as spaying and neutering to more complex dental surgeries and some orthopedic procedures. During surgeries, veterinary assistants and trained staff meticulously monitor pets' vital signs, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes. They also utilize therapeutic laser treatments on incision sites post-surgery to accelerate the healing process.
Dental Care: Recognizing the importance of oral health, they provide comprehensive dental services to prevent and treat dental diseases that can impact a pet's overall well-being.
Emergency and Urgent Care: While not a 24/7 emergency critical care center, they offer emergency and urgent care during business hours, providing a crucial resource for pet owners facing sudden illnesses or injuries. They aim to get pets stabilized and treated promptly.
Pain Management: They provide solutions for pain relief, ensuring pets are comfortable whether recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or dealing with acute injuries.
Rehabilitation Therapy: This specialized service indicates a commitment to post-injury or post-surgical recovery, helping pets regain strength, mobility, and quality of life.
Boarding: Offering boarding services adds convenience for pet owners, providing a safe and caring environment for pets when their owners are away.
Laser Therapy: This non-invasive treatment can be used for various conditions, including pain relief, reducing inflammation, and accelerating healing, often used post-surgery.

Compassionate and Caring Staff: Multiple reviews emphasize the kindness of the staff, including Dr. Barnes herself, described as a "very sweet and caring person." This personal touch ensures that pets receive gentle handling and owners feel supported and well-informed.

Efficiency and Timeliness: The experience of Mr. Moo Cow's "full work up" being completed efficiently, with drop-off at 8 AM and pick-up by 2:30 PM, indicates a well-organized and timely service delivery. "Service was done in a reasonable time frame" further supports this.
Affordable Pricing: The review mentioning that the feline's treatment was at a "good price" suggests that the hospital strives to provide quality care that is also financially accessible for pet owners.
Focus on Low-Stress Experience: While not explicitly stated in the provided reviews, their website mentions a "low stress experience" with "homey decor and specialized training to make everyone as comfortable as possible." This aligns with Marley's positive reaction to visiting the clinic, indicating a conscious effort to create a calming environment.
Advanced Technology: The availability of advanced digital X-rays and ultrasound demonstrates their investment in modern veterinary technology, allowing for more accurate diagnoses and better treatment planning.
Dedicated to Education: The staff's willingness to explain procedures and discuss topics like vaccinations, nutrition, and behavior with owners indicates a commitment to client education, empowering pet owners to make informed decisions for their pets' health.
Regarding promotional information, Barnes Veterinary Hospital effectively promotes itself through its demonstrated commitment to patient care and client satisfaction. While specific ongoing promotional campaigns were not detailed in the provided information, typical strategies for a "Pet Hospital" with these strong features would include:
Positive Word-of-Mouth: The "highly recommends" from satisfied families and the strong affection pets show for the clinic are the most powerful forms of promotion, naturally attracting new clients. This is evident in the repeated praise from customers.
Highlighting Comprehensive Services: Their website or other promotional materials would likely emphasize the wide range of services offered, positioning them as a full-service provider that can meet diverse pet health needs.
Emphasizing Compassionate Care: Featuring testimonials that speak to the kindness of Dr. Barnes and her staff would reinforce their brand as a caring and supportive veterinary partner.
Showcasing Advanced Equipment: Promoting their use of digital X-rays, ultrasound, and laser therapy can attract owners looking for clinics with modern diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
Community Engagement: As a local business, participation in community events, pet health fairs, or educational workshops on pet care can build stronger ties and attract new clients.
Partnerships: Collaboration with local animal shelters, rescue groups, or pet supply stores can lead to referrals. For example, some clinics accept vouchers for spay/neuter assistance, which is a form of community promotion.
Online Presence: A user-friendly website with detailed service descriptions, online appointment requests, and easily accessible contact information is crucial for modern promotion.
Barnes Veterinary Hospital stands out as a highly recommended "Pet Hospital" in Highland, AR, offering a comprehensive suite of veterinary services with a strong emphasis on compassionate, efficient, and affordable care. May 01, 2025 · Family ThoughtsDr Barnes is a very sweet and caring person. She gives you all the time you need. Marley loves to go see her and all the staff, especially when she gets to run loose and see everyone working in the clinic, when they are not real busy.

Mar 18, 2025 · cecil shultsWe have been using the Barines clinic for 2 years. Danielle and all her staff are awesome. They treat us and our girls as if we were family. Recently we had to have a major surgery done on Sadie and Dr sent us to a specialist. Things went great. If not for them I don't know what we would have done. Just so great full for them all. Appreciate them so,so much
Nov 08, 2024 · Craig CombsOverall we had a pretty well visit. They was super nice and quick with our two fur babies. They was able inform me with some information we was curious to know about our oldest fur baby. We got two of our fur babies taken care of so no more fleas or ticks will make uncomfortable. Only thing was we didn’t get the puppy package for our pup we took in and I don’t really understand why but that’s fine.
