I have been coming here since 1993 with both dogs and cats. I have never had an unpleasant visit. My dogs actually get excited when they see the building and staff. I would highly recommend using them for your vet care needs.

Do not go here! My dog went in for a broken toe and they wrapped his leg too tightly. Called to schedule an appointment and they did not rush to get him in. Caused severe damage to his leg. Never took responsibility and charged full price for bandage. Took many months and a lot of money to get the leg healed. Had a few problems in the past but stayed because my husband liked them. Hard lesson to learn.

We recently brought our fur baby, Gibbs in to have him checked for the fatty deposits on his body. They drew samples from each and determined that they were indeed just fatty deposits. Nothing to be concerned about as they are very normal, however, they continue to monitor them in the event of any changes. It brings us great comfort to know they care about our dog as much as we do, and want to see him thrive. We are very happy with their service, doctors and the rest of the staff. Try them out, your pets will love them!!

DO YOUR PET A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! I started seeking treatment for my cat in December. Initially, they dismissed concerns and just said it was “allergies.”. Saying that a lot of local animals were really struggling with allergies this winter (2025). That felt so strange to me that it would be allergies in the winter. They encouraged a steroid shot. I did as suggested because they were the expert/doctors. Also, it was recommended that I get him higher quality food that doesn’t have chicken or turkey in it. (I am currently going through cancer treatment and do not have a lot of disposable income). So I found a high-quality food at an affordable price. The next time that I brought my cat back to the vet because the symptoms had not resolved, The vet basically bullied me into buying the “prescription food” (which was close to $50 for a tiny bag). I tried to speak about ingredients and see if I could do a comparison of what I had found versus what they were suggestng. Again that was met with a domineering and rude response. I was told again that my cat needed a second steroid shot. Since it was presented to me that my cat “needed this prescription food & an additional steroid shot”, of course I purchased it. Once back at home, my cat refused to eat the food. For the better part of 3 weeks I spent trying to get my cat to eat the food that they had insisted on. His health continued to decline. Still, he was not making positive progress. Actually quite the opposite… He started drooling and frosting at the mouth. By the day of the appointment (they couldn’t fit us in for 7 days) , my buddy had lost 2 pounds, he was still vomiting and frothing at the mouth… if you read this far, please continue because this is where it gets CRAZY! When I him back for the appointment, the doctor came in and felt his abdomen. She said she had significant concerns that he had lymphoma. She said it very point blank.. She said that he needed the necessary bloodwork to either confirm or deny that. Of course It was $250. You can imagine how shocked I was when she returned with the blood work and said he had cholangiohepatitis!!!! 🤯😭 how had we gone from allergies to potential liver failure?!?!? Then the doctor explained what treatment would give him his best chance it was !!!$650!!! Of course I would spend whatever I was needed for my love. He really is special to me. He got me thru chemo, radiation & 11 surgeries. (3 1/2 years of brutal treatment) so I told the Dr I would do what I had to to give him the best fighting chance. Then vet techs came in to teach me how to administer meds. She was going to demonstrate how to do it. 11 tries later he was covered with saliva and vomit and meds. My little love was furious. Then she went tothe next medi and then the next….at some point, I realized I could not do this to him. I could not subject him to that kind of torture that I have been forced to endure for 3 1/2 years. What if I did all of this and it still didn’t help my remaining days with him AND I would be torturing him. This is when I broke… The tears came fast and hard. I realized I couldn’t torture him like I have been by following their recommendations,. It started to hit me that my seven-year-old, most precious little buddy was on limited time. It took everything I had in me to walk out the door without screaming and crying and pointing fingers of blame. HOW DID IT START AS SIMPLE ALLERGIES AND NOW I WAS HAVING TO MAKE END OF LIFE DECISIONS?!?!?! So to recap… After multiple appointments, after failing to identify the real issue, after taking probably close to $950… Then on top of it, they either wanted me to pay them to euthanize him (EVEN THOUGH I BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE THE REASON that I am in the position to say goodbye to my love”) WRONG! Soooo WRONG! Do your pet a favor and stay far away from this place!!! I would not want you to have to say goodbye to your love, like I’m having to. 😭 If you read this point, thank you… I know this is very lengthy, but truthfully, I could’ve made it even longer.

Dr. Dorset is a very knowledgeable veterinarian. Every time I have had her as my vet, I know that she will take good care of my pup. Furthermore, if you’re receptive enough, she will help you learn about your dog’s behaviors. She doesn’t make you feel guilty, but she explains how owners action can directly affect the dog’s behavior. I had another vet here one time and got belittled for my dog’s behaviors, she was not understanding of what could make my dog act anxious, she only made me feel bad. And she also said, “we can’t come in here and be best friends with every dog, you have to train her better”. I can understand the role I play with my dog, but dogs need positive reinforcement in the vet to associate it with good things. Immediately walking in and grabbing my dog’s leg (that was injured) will obviously make most dogs respond poorly. Vets do need to make an effort to be patient and build trust with anxious dogs. I understand that there’s a certain extent to a vets patience, as they don’t have all the time in the world, but you can give the dogs treats and greet yourself before invading their space. That’s why I love Dr. Dorset. She knows my dog, understands her behaviors, helps me learn what I can do better, and builds up trust with my pup every time we are there. Vet techs are awesome and kind! I’m happy I have Dr. Dorset as the only vet I accept now and will continue to come here as long as she’s here. This clinic is awesome for a number of reasons, but Dr. Dorset is the #1 in my book :) Thank you!
