I am so thankful to have Dr. Todd Smith and the rest of the staff at Arvada Vetinary Hospital to take care of my dog! Dr. Todd shows genuine care and concern for my dog and for me as well. It shows that he really does love dogs, and takes time with me and my dog, listens to me and offers solutions. My dog has PTSD from being in a shelter prior to him rescuing me. Dr. Todd has a gentle quiet calm nature that puts him at ease. I highly recommend AVH, and especially Dr. Todd!

My pup was limping for a few days off and she was seen the same day. The staff is friendly and courteous. The vet took his time evaluating my dog. There were no diagnostic tests needed and the issue was a torn quick that needed to heal. I was very pleased with the vet. He clearly loves his job and is kind and concerned about his patients. I will continue to come here for the quality of care and the kindness and caring of the staff. Also of importance they are conscientious of the cost of care and achieve to provide the best care possible without ordering unnecessary tests.

We have used this vet for years for routine care. My dog developed terrible itching in November 2024. After many visits he was diagnosed with skin allergies and prescribed Prednisone and antibiotics. We changed all his food as well. He continued to worsen. I brought him back but they said they had a correct diagnosis. When he quit eating. Made the decision to get a second opinion after spending $1000 with Arvada Vet Hospital. My dog got mange from small mite that was detected from a skin test. Arvada vet did all of that but missed his diagnoses. Everyone in the family got skin condition from him. We were itching everywhere. Another $1000 he was diagnosed correctly. Changed his antibiotics. Finally after loosing 6 lbs, he is so much better. Get second opinion and pricing

I was really satisfied with the veterinarian. I feel he was thorough, gentle, great sense of humor. My dog did really well with him. The staff was super friendly and helpful. So grateful to find this gem!

I drive from the mountains to come down here. My dog loves coming here and they often comment how relaxed he is. They’ve taken great care of him and are definitely affordable compared to other options. The vets are friendly and spend a good amount of time together addressing any issues.
