Art City Vets & Urgent Care

The staff at ACV have been treating our "Pups" for a few years now and they never have a fear of coming in for their care because everyone is so good to them and they are totally comfortable. That was not the case with our prior vet's office. Thank you for all that you do take care of our "Boys"! Oh my goodness. The one gal at the receptionist desk at the Wellness office with dark hair and great tattoos. My apologies for not remembering her name. She is always so good when speaking with us humans and to our pups. She makes us all feel right at home. How much the staff truly cares about the well being of our pups. It really shows!

The staff was extremely professional and compassionate when I received the devastating news that I should put my dog Cooper down. They made one of the hardest things I've ever had to do a smooth process and gave me all the time I needed. My baby boy was cared for every step of the way and I know he was in great hands. Dr. Tassoni was very compassionate and straight forward with me during me and my dog's last day together. She made me feel safe leaving him there during his treatment and when I received all of my options on next steps and eventually deciding to put him down, she made me feel supported in my decision and let me know I was doing what was best for my dog. I will never forget the care, kindness and compassion she showed me in one of the hardest moments of my life. My Cooper lived 15 beautiful years and was shown love and amazing care up until his very last breath.

Charlie-Cat always receives the best care at Art City Vets. She went for an emergency this past Saturday and she was well cared for, plus you guys helped her attain the grant from Pets For Life, which is covering her tail surgery tomorrow morning. Thanks again for EVERYRHING :) Everyone who treated Charlie-Cat including the front desk folks, doctor and nurses are incredible. You guys are all amazing All staff genuinely care and know great resources. This is the reason Charlie-Cat has been going to Art City Vets since she was first rescued years ago. We truly LOVE you guys and are ready for her tail surgery tomorrow morning; thanks for making it happen.

I can't speak highly enough about art city vets!!! They're not cheap, but they provide amazing care and minimize stress for your pet with treats, love, etc. The staff will also do their best to find you ways to afford services without accruing Financial burden. Dr Schafer at Art City recommended dental surgery for my cat. After receiving my estimate, I tried going to The Bridge Clinic for their affordable services. Having moved here recently, finances were tight. She was understanding and helpful with this, and down to continue to be Emmy Lou's primary even though we were going somewhere else for the surgery. However, because Emmy Lou is an older girl with chronic kidney disease and wasn't in obvious pain, Bridge Clinic wouldn't do the surgery. (They're a great non-profit resource for affordable care, btw. Just not the right fit for this case). She has problems with resorption and hides pain extremely well. After some agonizing about the risks of anesthesia for a 14 year-old CKD cat, I took her back to Art City, which has the resources to deal with complicated cases. Emmy Lou ended up needing 14 extractions. Post surgery, multiple staff spent time snuggling with her while she came out of her anesthesia. It was, by far, the least traumatic surgery and smoothest recovery she's had. Most recently, Emmy Lou started having coughing fits and doctor Thomas recommended I send a video next time she had one. I did, and Dr. Thomas responded the very next day, not only having reviewed it herself, but having had multiple other docs review it as well. You can schedule with specific doctor, but if you need to get in earlier, their vets are great at coordinating care and will get you booked as soon as possible. They also have an urgent care location across the street and provide excellent emergency services. I'm very grateful to have them as Emmy Lou and I navigate the challenges of her golden years.

Treated my kitty DJ with genuine compassion and was so empathetic to his situation. Also gave me a warm blanket for myself while we waited. They put us in an exam room to keep him comfortable and reduce his fears. Answered all my questions without rushing me, knowing I was so worried about my fur-baby. This is the "go to" place for urgent care and wellness visits if you have any kitties, doggies or other animal friends that you consider your family members. They love them as much as you do. It's evident in their actions, It's not just empty words. Give them a try if you want real care! The folks at the front desk are all kind and compassionate, offered me a blanket for myself since I was chilly waiting. I wish I remembered her name, also the young lady who registered me at urgent care was so kind. They all showed great interest when we arrived. How great it is to feel welcomed! I appreciate the "open arms" welcome as you arrive at your most difficult time or at a time of continued pet health care.
