I can’t say enough good things about this place! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, compassionate, and truly attentive to my pet's needs. They took the time to thoroughly examine my pup and explain everything in detail, making sure I understood all my options. You could really tell they care about each animal that comes through their door. They made me and my pup feel comfortable and less anxious, which is no easy task! The facility was clean and comforting. Dog beds, toys, and treats were placed all over the facility making my pup feel very at home. Every time I leave I feel reassured and confident that my pup was in the best hands. Highly recommend!

Tanja Nuhsbaum, DVM and her team at APEX deserve even better than a 5-star rating. Our dog Humphrey was referred to APEX on an emergency basis late on the afternoon of Friday, January 24th. The team stayed well after practice hours to evaluate and treat the high pressure in Humphrey’s right eye. We went back the following Monday for a recheck. With no improvement after aggressive weekend treatment, Dr. Nuhsbaum removed Humphrey’s painful eye on Wednesday, January 29th. Not only did Humphrey receive extraordinary and compassionate care, the communication with Dr. Nuhsbaum and her staff was exceptional. Everything was explained clearly and we felt the deep connection she had with us as well as our dog. Her techs, Esther and Nicole, were also very kind and empathetic of Humphrey’s situation. When we picked Humphrey up yesterday after his surgery, Esther was sitting in his run with him – one hand on her laptop and one hand rubbing Humphrey’s back. We are waiting on the histopathology results for Humphrey’s eye. Humphrey had TPLO (knee) surgery on January 21st. It is so hard to believe that he had 2 major surgeries within 8 days of each other. We were so caught off guard with the glaucoma diagnosis that just presented suddenly. We feel Humphrey received the best care possible and would recommend Dr. Nuhsbaum’s practice to anyone experiencing an eye issue with their beloved pet. I cannot say enough good things about my sweet Bonnie and I's experience with Apex Ophthalmology. Dr. Nuhsbaum and team were EXCEPTIONAL with the entire process of my sweet squishy faced loaf. Not only was the team personable but ensured swift communication and commitment to treating Bonnie's eye with upmost care and attention. From fitting me in a busy day due to concerns, to follow up texts, and constant reassurance prior to and after surgery, Apex surpassed the care of any vet (or human doctor) I ever been to. I was terrified to have to see a specialist, but they saved my Bonnie's eye and life quality. For context, 17 month old himalayan - Bonnie had a corneal sequestrum. BIG thank you to Dr.Nuhsbaum 🩷🤍

Apex ophthalmology with Dr. Nuhsbaum is amazing. The facility is gorgeous. The little details like dog toys and a dog bed in the exam room are wonderful. I think Dr. Nuhsbaum is one of the best in the region. She is very knowledgeable and great with the animals. I am thankful for her care of my dogs. I am so glad to a have a facility on this side of town.

Dr. Nuhsbaum is the best!! Miss Banksy had to get cherry eye surgery at 4 months old. Dr. Nuhsbaum went above and beyond, answering all my questions along the way and supporting both Banksy and I through the surgery and recovery process.
