Our dog was bitten by a baby rattlesnake so we immediately jumped in the car. I called ahead to alert them of what happened and Jordan (at reception) said to walk right in when we arrived. Sure enough when we came in they grabbed her and took her straight back to start treatment. Dr. Cross walked us through the protocol to treat this life threatening bite and answered all of our questions. Although my husband and I were stressed and scared (and I was crying), we felt our furbaby was in the best of hands. She spent the night and was discharged the next morning. Anna was one of the vet techs who watched over her and provided care for our dog during her stay. She said she really enjoyed taking care of her and it was so comforting to hear. Thank you also to Teresa who was monitoring her throughout the night. I can't thank the entire staff enough for their love and professionalism. We felt as thought they treated our dog as if she was their own. It is clear they are all passionate about what they do. Thank you for saving our girl. We are beyond grateful.

Apr 14, 2025 · Heather Kohler ValpredaTook my young 11 month old Labrador puppy Ollie in early on a Sunday morning when I awoke and he was horribly swollen and very uncomfortable. They took him back immediately, and were very caring. The pricing is very fair and transparent. I have had multiple experiences with other dogs with emergency vets for various issues, and this BY FAR was the most transparent, thorough, and complete. Ollie is on the mend from an allergic reaction to likely swallowing a bee or bug. - and the staff even fielded my call very early Monday morning when he was uncomfortable to get some further treatment advice. I am grateful for this facility, and it is definitely the “go to” for my emergency needs going forward.
Apr 28, 2025 · Stacey McIlroyThank you for taking great care of our puppy (Minnie) overnight after her fall from the 2nd floor. Thank God she is okay. Some people have commented on the reviews that this place is pricey but you get what you pay for. Service is great, we were able to call throughout the night to see how Minnie was doing. Staff was very caring and took Minnie in right away. Veterinarian is on staff all night and called us at the end of her shift. Needless to say we are very satisfied. I highly recommend.
Feb 22, 2025 · D BLosing my beloved cat Tako was the most heartbreaking experience I’ve ever had, but the kindness, empathy, and thoughtfulness shown by the staff at Animal Urgent Care South Orange County brought me genuine comfort during the darkest time. From the moment I brought Tako in during his emergency, the entire team treated him—and me—with such tenderness and compassion. After his passing, I received a letter in the mail containing his paw print, a packet of forget-me-not seeds, and a handwritten condolence card signed by all the staff. That gesture moved me to tears. It made me feel that Tako’s life was seen, respected, and remembered not just by me, but by everyone who cared for him. In moments of deep grief, such small acts of love and sincerity can mean everything. Thank you, Animal Urgent Care South Orange County, for not only taking care of my cat with medical professionalism, but also for showing such genuine humanity and heart. I will forever be grateful.
Mar 25, 2025 · Annabel LiHad an emergency with my 6 lb toy poodle. She ingested something at the beach (under the picnic table) and it was full of sand. It caused sand compaction (who knew?) and my dog was not expected to survive the night. The staff was caring, compassionate and gave my dog the best of care. She survived the night and is on her way to recovery. A shout out to Dr Backus - one of the most compassionate vets I have ever met - who provided excellent care and had genuine concern for my dog. I am so grateful. The cost of care is expensive, but they provide the numbers every step of the way, so there are no surprises. I highly recommend this facility.
