I just wanted to reiterate my deepest appreciation to Dr Bridges and the vet tech for the above and beyond care and compassion you both extended to us and most importantly my 14 year companion Captain during his final journey over the rainbow bridge. You both will always have my blessings and prayers for strength, support, and success for the excellent work and service you provide. I can’t recommend Animal Urgent Care of Hernando County enough! Dr. Bridges and all the techs staffed put me at ease and gave amazing care to my cat. Everyone was incredibly thorough and attentive to my cat’s health history and current needs. And everyone was extremely comforting and understanding of my concerns. The peace of mind and experience was worth every penny! I brought my baby home with good news today. If/when something urgent happens in the future, Animal Urgent Care of Hernando County will be the first place I call.

The staff here is super caring and helpful!! They took the time to explain what was being recommend for my pet and why, and I never felt like I was being rushed out. Also, it’s super convenient they’re open on the weekend and after “normal” vet hours. Super grateful for this new Urgent Care and the wonderful people here who helped my little guy!♥️

Our sweet senior German Shepard, was lethargic and wouldn't eat. She was breathing too fast. Having just moved here not long ago we hadn't established a new vet. We called and set a time to bring her in. From the minute we walked in the staff was amazing. They were obviously just as concerned for our girl as much as we were. They made sure she was comfortable first, which meant the world to me. We all talked and they explained what we could do. The Dr. came in and we decided bloodwork and x-rays were needed to verify what the Dr. felt what was going on. From the moment our sweet Bakara arrived one staff member kept giving our girl little treats. It was exactly what my girl needed. The Drs. thoughts were confirmed. Our sweet baby girl needed her Angel wings. We were devastated. They told us we could take her home and spend more time with her and give her all her favorite foods and treats. Then bring her back when we felt it was time. That's what we did. The next day she wasn't feeling well at all so we had to give her her wings. The staff greeted us at the door with treats in hand. They had a quiet room all ready for us and soft blanket for my girl. Bakara was already smelling her pocket for more treats. Bless her heart, she had a handful of miniature candy bars! Bakara was given so much love and attention in the following hour. We couldn't prolong her wings any longer. She had to be free. This was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. The ladies on staff here made this difficult time so personal & knowing it was the best thing for our sweet Bakara, who loved us so much. She only wanted to please us and protect us. She just wanted to be with me wherever that was. What a special, beautiful, sweet soul she had. Many thanks and hugs to you ladies for helping us get through this time. You most certainly were God send to us. You laughed with us and cried with us. You will always be in my heart. You all are a true blessing.... Monica Ritter

I have been to four different doctors. I have a Peruvian hairless. His glands under his jaw were really big and his eye kept closing and Tearing. So I thought it might be scratched. After all the Dr. nobody helped. I finally went over to the animal urgent care. It turned out that his glands that were swollen were his salivary glands and they drained them and gave him antibiotics and he's better. Then his eye. They had put him to sleep and the Dr. had to scratch it because it was already healed. It was scar tissue. They had to knock him out. Now his eye is wide open and he's very happy. So I'm very happy.. The place and the girls are just so nice there. Dr. Bridges, I really like her. She's nice, down to earth. I highly recommend it for urgent Care
