Today I went to the Animal surgical center of Michigan for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The wonderful Dr. Stanley performed a procedure to look into my dogs throat. The whole experience was very professional. Dr. Stanley was very patient, compassionate and kind. She explained the results after the procedure and what I need to do to keep my dog healthy. I can’t thank Dr. Stanley enough. The front desk personnel were very nice. The vet tech that assisted Dr. Stanley was awesome. I have nothing but high praise for this vet clinic. When I got home from the procedure, there was an email from the vet clinic that went over the entire visit from beginning to end. The procedure results were listed as was the medication needed to treat it. I cannot thank the staff and the doctor enough. Back in 2020 one of my English Setters saw Dr. Pearson. The whole experience was excellent The doctors were very compassionate and extremely knowledgeable in their field of veterinary medicine. The staff was always very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend animal Surgical Center of Michigan.

Jan 15, 2025 · David RossCannot recommend this place enough! Our dog was limping and our regular vet referred us here. We are not in the area but when we asked our vet where he would take his dog he said this was the ONLY place he would take his pets. Our dog is only 6 and has hip dysplasia but the doctor here was not convinced that this was causing her pain. He was very upfront about all the costs and wanted to run another scan. He found that our dog had torn her iliopsoas which is definitely treatable. Ultimately, he recommend physical therapy and since my dog has been in physical therapy, she is not demonstrating any signs of pain! It would have been so easy for the vets here to take advantage of us and recommend surgery. They laid out all the options, prices, and really made us feel comfortable that they take everything into consideration but first and foremost, what is best for the pet. Would highly recommend!
Mar 27, 2025 · A. S.Hands down the best facility ever. We have nothing but positive with this place. They are always so pleasant even if you call 3 times within the hour with questions. Belle isn't a fan of vets but for some reason she actually walks in the door without being forced versus when we walk into to her primary vet. They are absolutely on top of everything and you can tell they truly care. I highly recommend these guys! Also this place is unbelievably so clean. Thank you Animal Surgical Center of Michigan, you guys are amazing!
Aug 22, 2024 · Kristal WillisOur 1-year old Yellow lab, Carmel had torn both ACLs. This place did both repairs and they were fantastic. It is clean, smells good, super organized, friendly and knowledgeable. We definitely recommend.
Oct 26, 2024 · Jeff SchroppI cannot say enough amazing things about the Animal Surgical Center of Michigan! They have truly gone above and beyond, not only saving my dog’s life but also restoring my trust in veterinary care. After years of misdiagnoses and countless tests, I was devastated and at a loss for answers. My dog had been suffering from chronic vomiting and digestive issues, and after multiple visits to other vets, the consensus was pancreatitis. Yet, despite expensive tests and treatments, his condition worsened. In late October, he stopped eating and pooping for two weeks. Desperate, I went to another vet who suspected a bacterial infection, but after two visits, I was referred to an emergency vet. I visited OVRS (Oakland Vet Referral Services) twice, spending a significant amount of money on additional tests, only to be told they didn’t know for sure what was wrong. They suggested it could be several things, but I would have to wait weeks to see an internal medicine specialist. Enter the Animal Surgical Center of Michigan. They got me in right away, and on my first visit, Dr. Pearson immediately identified the issue as IBD and a gallbladder mucocele—not pancreatitis as I’d been previously told. Dr. Pearson was incredibly compassionate, kind, and knowledgeable, and explained everything thoroughly. I was heartbroken to learn my dog needed emergency gallbladder surgery, but I finally felt I was in the right hands. Dr. Zellner, the surgeon, was equally amazing. He took the time to answer all my questions and was extremely understanding and patient. Just two weeks later, they performed the surgery, removing my dog’s gallbladder and confirming through biopsies that it was indeed a gallbladder mucocele and IBD. I can’t imagine what would have happened if I hadn’t found them. Their level of care and communication was unmatched. During the surgery and the four-day post-op stay, they kept me updated regularly through their phone system. Their kindness, expertise, and attentiveness gave me so much peace of mind. I now drive an hour and 45 minutes for their services, and I don’t mind one bit because I trust them completely. A special thank you to Dr. Pearson and Dr. Zellner for saving my dog’s life and for the incredible care you provided. I am forever grateful and will never go anywhere else. I highly recommend the Animal Surgical Center of Michigan to anyone looking for top-tier veterinary care. ❤️
