ASC was amazing , they made us feel so calm and welcomed. Most importantly they made my fur baby comfortable and treated him amazingly. Staffy, pitbull and even bully breeds are treated at times not so well because of how society views them. The drive was definitely worth it. Very clean , spacious, easy to check in and the whole staff were amazing !!! They didn’t beat the bill down our throat, they gave us options and time to decide which was comfortable for us financially but still what was the best option for our fur baby. MELO and us are thankful for everything!

Mar 18, 2025 · Lenise HillAnimal Specialty Center is an amazing pet hospital! My dog Dana had radiation treatments and received the very best care while there. I highly recommend this place to all pets in need!
Mar 01, 2025 · Jacqueline SpaniolTo begin with I’m only giving this a 1 star because it is the lowest I can give. Now let’s talk about my experience at this place. My 9 year old Maltese was suffering from Pyometra, I noticed she wasn’t doing well after taking her to a vet the week prior and having her on antibiotics. I decide to take her here as my vet for my dog recommended this as the top option. I would do anything fo my dog, I will spend what is needed for her. So I did, I took her here a the front desk were very kind, helpful and efficient. They took my dog to the back as I explained what I knew of her symptoms. They told us she had pyometra, an infected a pus filled uterus. The doctor told us a price of min to max. We agreed to the conditions. They charged a 75% immediate deposit in order to proceed, which I did with no hesitation. The surgery was performed by Dr. Barren and she is a great doctor. My dog had been refusing to eat on her own about a few days before her surgery. This was due to the acute kidney injury she faced due to the pyometra. I take full responsibility for this as we didn’t get a second diagnosis after the first vet check up. Anyways, my dog is also a picky eater so that didn’t help her while staying here for 3 days. Based off things I picked up on, they definitely make you feel like you can’t interfere with their treatment for their own benefit, when we would go visit they didn’t like that my mom was trying to at least get some food on my dogs taste buds so she can lick some off the syringe. Yes we were cautiously syringe feeding her because we know she wasn’t going to eat there or with them. To them that was amazing because they can make more money off you by leading you to believe your dog needs to stay more nights with them and potentially needing a feeding tube. This is where I started to sense bullshit, I’m a nursing student, and enrolled in a cna program. I absolutely know when feeding tubes are required, humans and animals are more similar than we think. Why would a feeding tube be even brought up? Because they wanted to make more money off of the thousands we spent. That’s why they didn’t like when my mom was syringe feed in her on afternoon while visiting her. The financial coordinator came in and told her she had to leave and she was going to aspirate my dog. She took my dog away from my mom. I can assure you if I was there when it happened, things would have NOT went that way. I don’t understand why she thinks she has any medical authority when she handles the financial aspect of it…They basically forced us to keep my dog another night there because her blood glucose kept fluctuating. Well obviously it will if she wasn’t being fed. I doubt they even tried to syringe feed her to at least get some food on her tongue. She’s not in a coma we’re not going to aspirate her. I’m also aware she can aspirate while being conscious but if you know how to properly do it, she won’t. Then on Saturday at 5:30am I called to ask if my mom could go feed my dog even though the visitation hour started later, however the doctor told my mom she could do so if the staff a that time wa okay with it. They were like no we can’t it gets hectic here blah blah blah. Rounds/ shift change start at 8am why can’t my mom go in to feed her and leave. So they transferred me to either a surgical tech, or the financial coordinator. Possibly the nurse, I’m not sure but here’s what irked me, the bullshitting as if I’m stupid. She goes oh well (my pet) isn’t eating, her sugar keeps dropping, I’m not sure if taking her now is a good idea blah blah blah. I had enough bullshit so I got stern with her and told her well yeah because she not eating so we can bring her home and care for her/ syringe feed. She goes well you’re going aspirate her and all this bullshit as if I’m incompetent of caring for her. Mind you I am a mom and nursing student. Then she got mad and was like why are you giving me attitude, flipping it onto me because I didn’t eat up her bullshit like everyone else does. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Apr 08, 2025 · JLASHHHOTIEIf you have an emergency, just go. Plenty of parking, open 24 hours. The people here care. The entire staff was great. Special thanks to Alanna for keeping us so well informed and having so much empathy. Dr. Cistola was excellent too. I cannot recall the names of the desk staff that checked us in and out, but they too were very nice and professional. All of our questions were answered and we felt confident our animals were very well taken care of.
May 21, 2024 · Chris JenningsDr. Rosen and her team are amazing! Everyone is friendly. Dr Rosen is thorough in her examinations. I am glad my local vet sent me to her for radiation therapy after my dog had a cancerous tumor. Thank you Dr Rosen and staff.
