Welcome to Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery
For pet owners in and around Leesburg, Virginia, Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery, located at 165 Fort Evans Rd NE, offers a specialized "Pet Hospital" dedicated to providing advanced dental and oral surgical care for your beloved furry family members. The online reviews consistently highlight the genuine compassion of the staff, their exceptional communication throughout complex procedures, and the expertise of Dr. Raleigh and the team in addressing a wide range of oral health needs in animals. While the specialized nature of the practice may necessitate a longer drive for some, the level of care and professionalism, often recommended by general veterinarians and other pet owners, appears to make it a worthwhile journey for pets requiring serious oral health interventions.
One overwhelmingly positive review emphasizes the exceptional care provided, stating, "These people are the best! You can tell they really care about your furry family member when you walk in the door." This immediate impression of genuine concern for animals sets a strong foundation for the rest of the testimonial. The reviewer recounts a personal experience involving a "really complicated surgery" performed on their pet. During this stressful time, they found the staff to be incredibly "supportive" and appreciated that everything was "explained in detail," with their "many questions" being thoroughly answered along the way. The level of communication extended beyond the initial consultation, as the staff "called us numerous times throughout the day, letting us know their progress," demonstrating a high level of attentiveness and care for both the pet and the owner's peace of mind. The reviewer offers a strong and heartfelt recommendation for critical cases: "If you have something seriously wrong with your furry family member, I whole heartily recommend this place!" They specifically acknowledge "Dr. Raleigh and staff" as being "fully qualified in assisting you with any oral surgery needs." The practice's commitment to patient well-being is further highlighted by their follow-up care, as they "even call the morning after to check on their patients!" The reviewer concludes by acknowledging a potential logistical challenge but ultimately affirming the value of the service: "It can be a long drive but well worth it!"
In contrast, another brief review offers a more direct, albeit somewhat ambiguous, account of a routine procedure leading to a significant outcome: "Went in with a kitty needing dental cleaning, and came out with a toothless kitty馃ス." While the reviewer uses an emoji that can convey sadness or being overwhelmed, the context implies a significant number of extractions were performed during the dental cleaning. This review, while lacking extensive detail, suggests that the practice is prepared to perform necessary extractions, even if it results in a pet losing all their teeth. It underscores the focus on addressing underlying dental issues, which may sometimes necessitate extensive intervention.
A third review provides valuable context regarding the specialized nature and cost of the services offered. The reviewer states, "I came here upon a recommendation from both my coworker (who had full teeth extraction for her adult cat) and my vet." This highlights the referral network and the trust placed in Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery by both general practitioners and other pet owners who have utilized their services. The reviewer describes the staff as "very professional" and expressed confidence in their ability to make the right decisions for their pet: "and i could entrust them to make the right decision for my little one." This speaks to the high level of expertise and the trust instilled by the team. The reviewer then addresses the financial aspect, mentioning that "The full teeth extraction costed me +$4k but with insurance coverage, I think getting a professional care is well worth the money." This provides a realistic understanding of the potential cost of advanced dental procedures while also emphasizing the value of the specialized care received, especially when considering insurance coverage. This review further reinforces the notion that Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery is a go-to place for complex dental needs, often recommended by primary veterinarians.
Based on these customer reviews, the environment at Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery in Leesburg, VA, appears to be professional, supportive, and focused on clear communication. The staff are described as caring and dedicated, taking the time to explain procedures in detail and provide regular updates, particularly during complex surgeries. The fact that they call the morning after to check on patients indicates a strong commitment to post-operative care and patient well-being. The clinic seems to inspire trust and confidence in pet owners, with reviewers highlighting the staff's professionalism and their ability to make sound decisions regarding pet health. While the cost of specialized procedures can be significant, the emphasis on professional care and the recommendations from other veterinary professionals suggest a high standard of service.
As a "Pet Hospital" specializing in "Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery," the services offered are primarily focused on the oral health of pets. These services likely include comprehensive dental examinations, professional dental cleanings (prophylaxis), treatment of periodontal disease, tooth extractions (ranging from single teeth to full mouth extractions), oral surgery for conditions such as tumors or trauma, jaw fracture repair, and potentially endodontic procedures like root canals. The reviews mention complicated surgeries and full teeth extractions, indicating a capacity to handle advanced and complex oral health issues. The referral-based nature of some clients suggests that they work in collaboration with general practice veterinarians to provide specialized care that may not be available elsewhere.
Several key features distinguish Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery. Their specialization in dental and oral surgery sets them apart from general veterinary practices. The consistently praised caring and supportive staff create a positive and reassuring experience for pet owners, especially during stressful surgical procedures. The exceptional communication, including detailed explanations and regular progress updates, fosters trust and reduces anxiety. The follow-up calls the morning after surgery demonstrate a strong commitment to patient recovery. The fact that they are frequently recommended by general veterinarians underscores their expertise and reputation within the veterinary community. While potentially involving a longer drive and significant costs for complex procedures, the focus on professional and specialized care is a key differentiator.
The provided reviews do not contain any specific information about promotional offers at Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery. Given the specialized nature of their services, which often involve complex procedures and potentially significant costs, promotional offers might be less common than in general practice veterinary clinics. Pet owners seeking these specialized services are typically more concerned with the expertise and quality of care than with discounts. To inquire about their service fees, payment options, and whether any specific promotions are currently available, local pet owners in and around Leesburg, VA, are encouraged to contact Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery directly at (571) 209-1146 or +1 571-209-1146. Their knowledgeable staff would be able to provide detailed information regarding their services and associated costs.
In conclusion, Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery in Leesburg, Virginia, is a highly recommended "Pet Hospital" specializing in advanced dental and oral surgical care for animals. The consistently positive feedback emphasizes the caring and professional staff, their exceptional communication during complex procedures, and the expertise of Dr. Raleigh and the team. While the specialized nature of the care may involve higher costs and potentially a longer travel distance for some, the recommendations from general veterinarians and satisfied clients underscore the value and necessity of their services for pets with serious oral health issues. If your furry family member requires specialized dental or oral surgical intervention, Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery appears to be a trusted and capable choice.

Dec 31, 2024 路 Joanna KimMy dog required a tricky surgery, and I cannot say enough good things about the people at Animal Dentistry. They are very pleasant to deal with and extremely knowledgeable. It was the best experience I have ever had at a veterinary establishment, and I am so grateful. The surgeon did a superlative job, and was very willing to help us to understand the procedure. Our dog is home and back to feeling like herself again!
Feb 05, 2025 路 C MurphyWe brought my one year old German Shepherd, Anna, in on a specialist referral because she was not able to open her jaw except for maybe a few centimeters. We suspected either nerve damage or possibly a dislocated bone physically preventing her mouth opening. Dr. Raleigh and the team correctly diagnosed the issue as MMM, which is an autoimmune disease. She was prescribed steroids and after a couple months of treatment is almost back to normal. With a triple M diagnosis, full use of the jaw may never return however it now appears to be 90% or better. It took nearly a day at the office with all the tests and procedures but it was time well spent. I鈥檓 beyond grateful that Dr. Raleigh and the staff was able to correctly diagnose the issue and get her back to being a playful shepherd. Every aspect of the treatment was thoroughly explained and he has called to check in on her several times and to adjust her medication despite us living well over an hour away. As she has an autoimmune disease and cannot receive vaccinations any longer, he even provided a professionally written letter explaining this to any future caretakers. Five stars does not go high enough, they did an outstanding job!
Jul 18, 2024 路 Nate MillerI have 2 tiny Chihuahua mix senior pups who have a genetic predisposition to periodontal disease despite my daily brushing over the years. I feel confident that they are safe and expertly cared for in the kind, gentle, talented hands at LifeCentre Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery. I am so grateful to live close to such a wonderful facility! Special thanks and happy wags to everyone there 馃檪
