Very caring staff! My poor Charlie had some hot spots and was seen promptly with attention to my fella! A steroid injection and antibiotic shot and stopped scratching and licking and already healing! He actually finally resting and comfortable. This is my place of choice for all my pets needs!

Located at 827 Evans City Rd, Renfrew, PA 16053, USA, Animal Clinic of Butler, LLC. stands as a beacon of compassionate and comprehensive veterinary care within the local community. Operating as a dedicated "Pet Hospital," this facility provides a wide range of services and related products tailored to meet the health and wellness needs of your cherished animal companions. With a strong emphasis on a low-stress environment and personalized care, Animal Clinic of Butler, LLC. has earned a reputation for excellence, particularly under the guidance of Dr. Pennington and her highly skilled team.

The core philosophy at Animal Clinic of Butler, LLC. is centered around treating every pet as an important part of the family, recognizing that when an animal is ill, owners seek the best possible medical attention. This commitment translates into providing cutting-edge veterinary medical care, from routine wellness exams and vaccinations to advanced diagnostics and complex surgical procedures. The clinic is well-equipped to handle various medical challenges, ensuring that pets receive high-quality care throughout all stages of their lives, from puppy and kitten care to senior pet management.

The environment at Animal Clinic of Butler, LLC. is consciously designed to be welcoming and, critically, low-stress for pets. Understanding that veterinary visits can be a source of anxiety for animals, the clinic has implemented "Fear Free" techniques. This approach aims to minimize stress, anxiety, and fear during examinations and treatments, making the experience as comfortable as possible for the animals. A notable feature is the provision of separate spaces for felines, acknowledging the unique sensitivities of cats and further contributing to a calming atmosphere. While specific details about waiting areas or specific amenities are not always highlighted, the overall impression from client feedback is one of a caring, clean, and comfortable facility where both pets and their owners feel at ease. The staff’s gentle handling and patient demeanor play a significant role in creating this positive environment, as noted in client testimonials where cats, surprisingly, "like going to the vet."

Animal Clinic of Butler, LLC. offers a comprehensive suite of veterinary services, designed to address a wide spectrum of pet health needs. These services are delivered with the utmost care and professionalism, ensuring that each animal receives individualized attention. Key services include:

  • Preventative Care: This foundational aspect of pet health includes regular wellness examinations, tailored vaccination protocols based on the pet's age, lifestyle, and risk factors, effective parasite prevention (for fleas, ticks, and heartworm), and nutritional counseling. The clinic is uniquely dedicated to providing preventative care to promote long-term health.

  • Urgent Care: For non-life-threatening but still concerning medical issues such as vomiting, limping, coughing, allergies, or ear infections, Animal Clinic of Butler, LLC. offers same-day urgent care appointments. This provides a crucial local option, preventing pet owners from having to travel long distances to emergency veterinary centers.

  • Dental Care: Recognizing the importance of oral health, the clinic provides comprehensive dental services, including in-clinic teeth cleanings. Dental care is crucial for preventing periodontal disease and other systemic illnesses that can stem from poor oral hygiene.

  • Spay & Neuter: These routine surgical procedures are offered to control animal overpopulation, reduce shelter crowding, and improve pets' long-term health by mitigating risks of certain cancers and behavioral issues.

  • Radiology (X-Rays): Utilizing diagnostic imaging to help identify and diagnose various internal conditions, aiding in accurate treatment planning.

  • Surgery: Beyond spaying and neutering, the clinic performs a range of surgical procedures, ensuring safe and effective interventions for various medical conditions.

  • Puppy and Kitten Care: Specialized care for young animals, focusing on their unique developmental needs, vaccinations, and early health management.

  • Senior Care: Dedicated programs for older pets, addressing age-related health issues and promoting comfort and quality of life in their golden years.

  • Online Pharmacy: For convenience, the clinic also provides an online pharmacy, allowing clients to easily order and receive prescribed medications and veterinary products.

For existing medical conditions or large upfront costs, the clinic also accepts treatment financing options like CareCredit and Scratchpay. This commitment to helping clients afford necessary care is a valuable aspect of their service. I love Dr. Pennington and her staff. More importantly, my cats like Dr. Pennington and her staff. I have one cat that adores going to the vet, which is weird. She is good with the animals and knowledgeable. She is patient with wiggly cats, and all my questions. Her prices seem fair to me. This practice has proven to be the best for cats in the area for my family.

My 2 rabbit hunting beagles had a run in with a baby porcupine. The quills were too small for me to get them all, so I called these folks. They got me in ASAP, explained what they were going to do and did it. Everyone was very helpful and polite and the cost was what I expected. I'll be using them again in the future. Hopefully not the same problem!
