I want to share my experience with Ahwatukee Animal Care Hospital, which has left a lasting impression—though not a positive one. We scheduled an appointment for our 5-year-old bulldog, only to find out afterward that a $50 deposit was required through an app I had never heard of. This information was not communicated upfront, which was disappointing, especially as we were seeking a new vet after our previous one prioritized profit over the care of our pets, resulting in the tragic loss of one of our beloved bulldogs. Upon arrival, I was struck by the lack of activity; at 9:30 in the morning, the clinic was completely empty, with no other clients in the waiting room. This was unusual for a veterinary office. As my wife filled out the forms, we encountered a question about contacting our previous vet. Given our past experience, we were not comfortable allowing that until we were certain about our next steps. When we were taken into the exam room, it felt uncomfortably warm—high 70s to low 80s—and our bulldog was panting from both the heat and the excitement. I requested a bowl of water, but when the tech returned, she seemed to accuse us of lying about our dog’s vaccination status, insisting that state law required them to contact the previous vet for this information. This is simply not true; there is no law mandating that prior to receiving care. Feeling uncomfortable and unsupported, we chose to refuse service and left. I strongly recommend seeking another veterinary practice. It was more like an interrogation than a welcoming visit, and the staff's approach felt pushy and unprofessional. I will follow up to see if they return the $50 deposit for the appointment and will update this review as necessary.

Dr. Williams has been wonderful. She goes above and beyond to help support you AND your pets. I'm so relieved to have a vet thats willing to make calls, ask for updates, and work with you outside of appointments. They're also affordable which is so hard to find.
