I’ve been going to Afford a care for four years straight. Only three times have I got elsewhere twice for a hospitalizations and once for food. One of those hospital visits I asked for an additional x ray of the lungs and the advice I received there was the exact advice I received from Erina but for far more money and more stress to my cat. Using money to lead into my next point my cats mean everything to me, they are the reason I’ve been in therapy for six years now, why I got sober from party drugs and alcohol, why I take care of myself and leave harmful relationships, there is not an expense I wouldn’t pay for when it comes to them. They are absolutely affordable and remain so while everything around us skyrockets in price. From their receptionists, vet techs, and the veterinarians. Afford a care has taken care of not only them but me as well. During times my cats were sick I felt as my world crashing down they took the time to alleviate my concerns. They care about the owner and animal. My cats absolutely love them. They avoid unnecessary tests for you and the animal. They do not laugh at you when you bring up that one Facebook post while trying to frantically look up what’s wrong with your animal. They provide better places to find information. They listen to you when you ask to try different things. All of what I have written is genuine and heartfelt. I am not very trusting and very skeptical. So that is why I am writing this. If you are reading this it means you care and want what’s best for your animal. I could write a million more good things yet not a single con nor negative comes to mind. My cats are very sick cats and have always been. I can go in for those unplanned medical emergencies during their walk in times. Creating a sense of ease during the difficult moments. Please consider them. I know I will not nor do I have any desire to go elsewhere.

A notable feature of Afford-A-Care Pet Hospital, highlighted in numerous customer reviews, is their commitment to affordability. Many clients express gratitude for the reasonable pricing, especially in comparison to other veterinary clinics, while still maintaining what they perceive as a high standard of care. This affordability is crucial for many pet owners who view their pets as family members but face budget constraints. The hospital's approach often involves avoiding unnecessary tests, which can significantly reduce costs and stress for both the animal and the owner. The staff, including receptionists, vet technicians, and veterinarians, are frequently praised for their compassionate and understanding demeanor. Reviewers mention that the team takes the time to alleviate concerns, cares about both the owner and the animal, and listens to client requests regarding treatment options. This empathy is particularly valued during emotional times when pets are sick or undergoing difficult procedures. The availability of walk-in times for unplanned medical emergencies further underscores their commitment to accessible and timely care, providing comfort and peace of mind to pet owners facing urgent situations.
While the overall feedback is largely positive, it is important to acknowledge that, like any service provider, there can be varying experiences. One review provided suggests a contrasting experience, citing concerns about staff behavior towards a pet during a procedure, perceived rushed service, and negative health changes post-spaying. This highlights the importance of individual experiences and the challenges of meeting every expectation, but it is important to consider the overall trend of feedback which largely praises the clinic's affordability and compassionate approach.

Apr 13, 2025 · Anon :3My mother took our cat here to get spayed, when we picked her up the vet claimed she was hissing and growling and trying to bite her and that she somehow peed herself. But my cat is the sweetest cat out there I have never in the years of having her seen her get upset like that in any sort of way so I really wonder what they did to my baby. And another thing, I’m wondering if they messed up her spaying. It’s been a while since then and she has gained an insane amount of weight, she refuses to groom herself so she gets mattes, and I believe she had asthma now and she was perfectly healthy before. Another thing I dislike about this place, they seem to rush you out of there and don’t take any time to actually look at your pets health. A lot of people love their animals and can’t afford to take them to super expensive places and they come here thinking they will get the care they need for their pets for cheaper but that’s not true. They treat you and your pets like an inconvenience and I don’t recommend coming here, nor will I ever bring my pets back here. If you’re looking to take your animal to the vet at all I’d definitely go to another one.
May 07, 2025 · Kortney DoranThis is my favorite place to take my pups! Not only is it very reasonably priced, the staff are all so kind. I feel comfortable asking questions. They treat my dogs like their own, gave me multiple options about medications and kept me aware of side effects that came with them all. I could not recommend this place more. The lady who checked me in and out (didn’t get her name 😫) is so welcoming and helpful, she makes a stressful visit not so stressful. Thank you to all of the staff, you are amazing!

We love afford-a-care in this busy household!
