Advanced Veterinary Dermatology

Awesome Vet! We Spent a bunch of money, taking our dog to a regular vet for his ear problem. Then we spent a ton of more money at a specialist that couldn’t solve the problem and then we took him to Advanced Veterinary Dermatology and his ears have been perfect ever since. Thank you to the Dr Ursula and the staff for helping our Lucas with his ear infection.

In January, my dog, Penny, came down with a somewhat rare and difficult condition that stumped our primary vet and led us to a consult with Dr. Ursula. As any loving pet owner, I was overcome with worry. I did my research and read reviews on the office and my mind was immediately at ease. Not only does Dr. Ursula have an incredible amount of experience, but she and her office staff have a stellar reputation for bedside manner and the care that they have for both pets and their humans. After the initial testing, months of being in close contact and tweaking medications, my Penny girl is finally in remission and there is a plan in place in case her condition is to come back. I have full confidence in this office and thank them more than anything for helping us. I finally feel like I am getting my girl back after several months of questioning the future. Advanced Veterinary Dermatology sets the "GOLD STANDARD" in care. My young cat has a very rare mycobacterium which causes oozing pustules all over her body and this outstanding veterinarian, Ursula Oberkirchner has saved her. My regular vet said to "put her to sleep" at 18 months. My husband and I refused and sought help. Thank goodness we persisted with little rescued Trixie. All we can say is that this veterinarian is super gifted, contemplates options with you (pros and cons, next steps) and has been right on the money. Trixie is doing well but needs a special diet. The staff are incredible - everyone is exceptional. I cannot say enough. This is a serious and spectacular veterinary practice. Take note and be amazed. Kathy Schroeder

I wish I had the words to properly articulate my gratitude for the wonderful fur-baby loving people who are a part of AVD. One of my Frenchies has endured substantial issues with her paws, facial folds and ears. We were referred a few years ago to Dr. Ursula by our primary vet (also amazing, Dr. Jen Rosen) because Lucy was a tough case. The skill, thoughtfulness and compassion shown through Dr. Ursula's care is extraordinary. Lucy's diagnosis changes but Dr. Ursula is always evolving with her new solutions. The entire team is like a family. When one is in their practice, it is clear how special they are. I love their accessibility. If Lucy is sick, it's an email with pictures and a call. If they cannot see her, we discuss what I can do in the meantime. Side note, I also was ill the last year and their compassion toward me was a blessing. While I am very upset that my fur-baby has these issues, I am grateful to see a specialist who truly thinks out of the box and cares tremendously about her patients and their families. Thank you ladies. You know we love you!

Dr Ursula and her whole staff were kind, attentive, and friendly. The exam room was spacious, inviting, and had dog toys which my dog enjoyed very much. Dr Ursula gave me several well explained options on how to proceed with treatment and I left feeling very confident with the plan we chose. I was offered water as well as my dog which was very thoughtful. Thank you so much!
