I’ve spent far too much time at A Pet’s Place over the last year, but I’m grateful for the excellent care and attention to my pup, Pepperoni. I’ve seen both Dr. Primeau and Dr. Vail, and now Dr. Jones— all three have been wonderful. The vet techs and client care staff are incredible, too. Can’t recommend more highly!

Welcome to A Pet's Place Animal Hospital

For local users seeking a "Pet Hospital" in Longmont, Colorado, A Pet's Place Animal Hospital is located at 1011 Coffman St. This veterinary care facility has received contrasting feedback from recent customers, indicating a range of experiences.

One customer expressed deep gratitude for the "excellent care and attention" their pup, Pepperoni, received over the past year. They specifically praised multiple veterinarians – Dr. Primeau, Dr. Vail, and Dr. Jones – describing them as "wonderful." This reviewer also commended the vet techs and client care staff, offering a high recommendation for the hospital.

In stark contrast, another customer shared a highly negative experience. This review detailed an incident where their dog was taken in for an eye issue. The customer alleged mishandling of their dog, followed by a diagnosis the doctor was unsure of, yet a steroid prescription was given. According to this reviewer, the steroid worsened their dog's condition significantly. After seeking a second opinion from an ophthalmologist, they were informed that the steroid was the cause of the deterioration. This customer claimed their dog almost lost his eye due to the initial treatment. Furthermore, they reported a negative interaction with a staff member named Lezley when calling to request an apology, stating that their request was refused, and Lezley was rude and ignorant, denying any fault. This reviewer strongly advises others to avoid A Pet's Place Animal Hospital.

Given the conflicting nature of these two recent reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive assessment of the environment, services, features, or any potential promotional information for A Pet's Place Animal Hospital based solely on this data. While one customer highlights positive experiences with multiple veterinarians and staff, another recounts a serious negative outcome and unsatisfactory follow-up.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not go to this place. I took my dog here for an eye issue he was having, after man handling my dog and terrifying him, the doctor told me she didn't know what was wrong. That would be okay if that's where this ended, but she gave me a prescription for a steroid anyway. After using the steroid for a week, my dogs eye got EXTREMELY BAD. I canceled my next appointment because after talking to the doctor on the phone, she stated she still didn't know what it was. I took him to an optomologist, and the more knowledgable doctor stated that the steriods they gave me is the entire problem, that what was happening to my dog was completely normal, but the steroid made it worse. My dog almost lost his eye because of these people, he is only 4 years old. The new doctors drops fixed him almost 100%. I called back to A Pets Place to ask for an apology, they absolutely refused. Lady named Lezley was extremely rude, ignorant and told me they take no fault in what happened. My lawyer told me I could win but it would not be worth it, I will be fighting them anyone. How dare they do this to someone's pet. Absolutely disgusting company. Me and my pet group will no longer be using this place, as they do not care about our pets. Don't take a chance, go somewhere else.

We were nervous at first because our dog chip is very anxious when meeting new people, and sometimes that can start us off on a bad foot. But let me tell you it was a great experience from beginning to end! The front end was very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Vail was very patient when dealing with Chip. I fell she treated him like he was her dog. Dr. Vail made our visit a breeze. I definitely recommend this facility if you need a vet especially Dr. Vail.

We have been bringing our 2 cats to A Pet's Place for the past 7 years and have been very happy with the care and service they have provided. They are so kind to the animals and explanation of what is going on is done in a way we can understand. I have referred this vet to a lot of people and not 1 of them have ever come back and said they was not happy.
