New favorite park. We brought our husky here for the first time since we moved here and the park is fantastic. There are 4 separate fenced dog parks. There's a playground and splash pad for kiddos, a fitness park, and a small well kept bathroom. Signs posted every where for rules and information. The parking lot is also very decent size. The children's graffiti is also very interesting. I live seeing what they wrote. It's so wholesome.

## Services Offered

Woofter Family Park, as a municipal park operated by the City of Las Vegas, offers a robust set of services and amenities centered around public recreation, with a significant focus on its dog park facilities. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Multiple Fenced Dog Parks: A standout feature is the provision of four separate fenced dog park areas. These include dedicated spaces for small dogs and large dogs, as well as additional smaller enclosures for those who might prefer a more private or less interactive play session, or perhaps for shy or senior dogs.
  • Water Stations: Recognizing the importance of hydration in the Las Vegas climate, the dog park areas are equipped with water stations for dogs, ensuring a continuous supply of fresh water during play.
  • Waste Disposal Facilities: To maintain cleanliness, the park provides waste disposal bins and often offers free poop bags, encouraging responsible pet ownership and a hygienic environment.
  • Agility Equipment/Ramps: Some sections of the dog park feature ramps or other obstacles, allowing for agility training and more stimulating play for active dogs.
  • Regular Maintenance: Reviews indicate that the dog park areas, particularly the grassy fields, are "maintained well" and are "cleaned and maintained in rotations," contributing to a pleasant experience.

## Features / Highlights

Woofter Family Park truly shines with its impressive array of features, making it a comprehensive recreational destination for the entire community, not just dog owners:

  • Four Separate Dog Parks: This is a major highlight, offering unparalleled flexibility and safety. The distinct areas cater to different dog sizes and temperaments, reducing potential conflicts and allowing dogs to play comfortably.
  • Lush Grassy Fields: Unlike many dog parks that utilize decomposed granite, Woofter Family Park boasts expansive grassy areas, which are softer on paws, cooler in the summer, and provide a more natural play surface.
  • Shaded Seating and Areas: Throughout the dog park sections and the broader park, there are shaded seating areas and trees, offering crucial relief from the intense Nevada sun for both pets and their owners.
  • Children's Playground and Splash Pad: For families with children, the park offers a well-equipped playground and a splash pad, making it an ideal location for a multi-generational outing where everyone can find something enjoyable to do.
  • Fitness Park: Adults can utilize the outdoor fitness park, allowing them to get a workout in while their dogs play nearby.
  • Clean Bathrooms: The presence of a "small well kept bathroom" is a significant convenience often overlooked at public parks, enhancing the overall comfort for visitors.
  • Ample Parking: A "very decent size" parking lot ensures easy access and reduces stress about finding a spot, even on busy days.
  • Community Vibe: The park often hosts friendly visitors and their dogs, contributing to a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, which is highly valued by regulars. The "children's graffiti" on signs, noted as "wholesome," adds to the unique, local charm.

While the park itself doesn't offer commercial "promotions," the City of Las Vegas Parks and Recreation Department frequently organizes community events, programs, and activities across its park system. Okay so this is a tough review for me because my dog loves it here. I took her Monday evening, there was 30 plus dogs in the small dog area. My dog has never been a drooler but I noticed the past two visits it was excessive. I noticed green slim on her poop after the previous visit. After this particular visit she left with her paws full of shit and some sort of small saw dust like particles all over her paws. It was disgusting! I cleaned her paws when we got in the car and immediately bathed her when we got home. Over the past few days she has had horrible diarrhea . There are many owners not cleaning up after their dogs nor is the park being cleaned adequately. Please be cautious going here. My dog loves all the dogs! Will you love the vet bills to follow? We are scheduled for vet tomorrow. Important we are all transparent for the safety of our animals. My dog is 10 years old and NEVER had issues that result in vet visits. Please be cautious and be sure to post if your dog is having similar issues.

Really nice dog park. Enclosed grass and they have the standard big dog side and small dog size but also they have an additional two enclosures for both sizes, maybe for training or if someone's pup is having an anti social day. Great place to bring you pup to give them a chance to run around and off the hot concrete

Awesome park to bring your puppy! It's clean and the beautiful. It has areas for small breed Ls and large legs breeds so they can play in different areas. I highly recommend bringing your companion here
