Welcome to Ruff Park
For dog owners in Marble Falls, Texas, finding a dedicated and versatile space for their canine companions to run, play, and socialize is a true cornerstone of pet ownership. Ruff Park, nestled within the larger Westside Park, stands out as a fantastic local amenity that caters to the energetic spirit of pups while offering a wide array of attractions for the entire family. Described by visitors as a "fun for your fur babies" destination, Ruff Park provides a securely fenced off-leash area where dogs can truly express themselves, benefiting from ample room to "get up to full speed" and interact with other friendly canines.
What truly makes Ruff Park a gem in the heart of the Texas Hill Country is its thoughtful integration within a broader recreational complex. This means that a visit to the dog park can easily extend into a full family adventure, exploring walking trails, enjoying playgrounds, or even taking in the scenic views of Lake Marble Falls. It's more than just a dog park; it's a vibrant gateway to the outdoor adventures and community spirit that Marble Falls has to offer, making it a beloved spot for both residents and visitors "rv'ing in nearby Inks Lake."
Ruff Park is strategically located at 1610 2nd St, Marble Falls, TX 78654, USA. This address places it within Westside Park, a comprehensive recreational area that offers much more than just the dog park. Its position in Marble Falls makes it easily accessible for residents across the city and surrounding communities in the picturesque Highland Lakes region.
Access to Ruff Park is straightforward, typically via well-maintained roads leading into Westside Park. Visitors will find paved parking areas available, ensuring convenient access for both dogs and their owners. The park's prime location within Westside Park also means easy access to a network of walking trails that connect to other significant Marble Falls attractions, including Johnson Park and Lakeside Park, extending your outdoor adventure opportunities significantly.
Fenced Off-Leash Dog Park: Ruff Park provides a dedicated, fully fenced area where dogs can safely run and play without a leash. This secure environment is essential for allowing dogs to exercise freely and socialize naturally.
Separate Dog Sections: The park thoughtfully includes "two sections so if your dog is smaller or doesn't particularly play well with others you can go there." This allows for tailored play experiences, promoting comfort and safety for dogs of various sizes and temperaments.
Pet Waste Stations: To ensure a clean and hygienic environment for all visitors, Ruff Park is equipped with "bags for dog poo" and disposal bins. This amenity encourages responsible pet ownership and helps maintain the park's pristine condition.
Water Fountains/Buckets: While one review mentioned a broken hose, the park is generally equipped with water fountains and buckets for dogs to drink from. It's always a good idea for visitors to consider bringing their own water and a bowl as a backup, especially during warmer weather.
Restroom Facilities: For the convenience of human visitors, restrooms are available within Westside Park, close to the dog park area.
Ample Space for Running: Visitors consistently praise the park's size, noting it provides "plenty of space to get up to full speed" for energetic dogs. This generous room allows active pups, like Australian Shepherds mentioned in a review, to truly stretch their legs.
Integrated with Westside Park Amenities: Ruff Park is not a standalone facility; it's seamlessly integrated into the larger Westside Park. This means direct access to a wealth of additional features:
Walking Trails: "Additional West side Park added with walking trail to cross over to Johnson Park and from there you can extend your beautiful Walk to LakeSide and enjoy the views of Lake Marble Falls." This provides extensive options for leashed walks outside the dog park.
Family-Friendly Attractions: "Children's park next to it," featuring "Several Playgrounds," a "Basketball Court," and a "Skate Park." This makes it an ideal destination for families with both dogs and children.
City of Marble Falls Swimming Pool and Beach Area: These are accessible from the extended park trails, offering more recreational options, especially during the summer months.
Double-Gated Entrance: For enhanced safety and to prevent accidental escapes, Ruff Park features a double-gated entrance.
Well-Lit at Night: The park is well-lit after dark, making it an inviting place for evening visits, especially beneficial during longer summer days or for those with busy daytime schedules.
Seating Areas: There are "6 benches to sit on," providing comfortable spots for owners to relax and supervise their dogs.
Overall Beautiful Park: The reviews describe the area as a "Beautiful park," with access to scenic views and a pleasant environment that contributes to an enjoyable outing.
As a public park operated by the City of Marble Falls Parks and Recreation Department, Ruff Park does not typically offer commercial "promotions" or "special offers." The park itself is a fantastic free resource for the community, providing invaluable space for dog exercise and socialization. The ongoing investment in its maintenance and amenities, such as the waste stations, water access, and lighting, represents a continuous "offer" to local residents.
However, the City of Marble Falls Parks and Recreation Department may organize or host community events, pet-related gatherings, or educational programs within Westside Park that could involve or benefit dog owners. For instance, you might find information on responsible pet ownership workshops or adoption events. It is always recommended that locals check the official City of Marble Falls website, particularly their Parks and Recreation section, or their social media channels for any announcements regarding special activities, seasonal updates, or temporary closures (e.g., due to weather or maintenance).
A key "special offer" of Ruff Park is its direct access to the extensive network of trails and other family-friendly amenities within Westside Park, allowing for a multifaceted and extended outdoor experience without needing to relocate.

Mar 18, 2025 · Caroline BlackWe stopped twice while rv'ing in nearby inks lake. Liked the slope and size of the park. Our aussies had plenty of space to get up to full speed
Jun 12, 2025 · Ira AllenNice Park with many trails to walk your pet. Take my mastiff almost everyday to play with other dogs. Many really nice people come there. We have a group of about ten people who meet everyday. Park does need to be divided for small and large dog sides. Overall nice little Park.
Dec 14, 2021 · RedwhiteblueThis park is gross. No one cleans up after their dog anymore, from the outside, to inside. It's not that large so every pile makes it stink. Come on Marble Falls, do better. It would be great for a small park if not for lazy people.
Jan 02, 2025 · Diana BNice little dog park. It definitely needs a separate section for smaller dogs and the dog owners need to work on cleaning up their dog's poop, but aside from that, it's a nice spot. Oh, and the flies are out of control here. I love the picnic table but it's impossible to eat anything with them swarming everywhere.
