Welcome to Rogers Dog Park
For dog owners in Tacoma, Washington, finding a well-maintained and welcoming space where their furry companions can socialize and burn off energy is a key part of responsible pet ownership. Rogers Dog Park, located on the Eastside of Tacoma, offers just such a valuable amenity. As part of the larger Rogers Playfield, this dedicated off-leash area provides a secure and comfortable environment for canine recreation, making it a beloved spot for local residents and their pups.
Rogers Dog Park is a 1.5-acre fully fenced off-leash area, providing a secure space where dogs can run freely and interact safely. Visitors often describe it as a "nice park to stretch legs" for both pets and their owners. Beyond the dedicated dog area, Rogers Playfield is a multi-faceted community hub. It features an area for children to play, complete with a water fountain, and is home to the Dometop Community Garden. This integration means that while your dog is enjoying their off-leash time, other family members can engage in different activities nearby. While some visitors note that it's "rarely see more than one dog here," this can be a highlight for those seeking a less crowded, more relaxed experience. The park is well-equipped with a "drinking fountain, bench and shelter" for convenience, ensuring a pleasant visit regardless of how many canine friends show up.
Rogers Dog Park is conveniently located at 3151 E L St, Tacoma, WA 98404, USA. -
Water Access for Dogs: The presence of a drinking fountain directly within the off-leash area is a significant convenience, ensuring dogs can hydrate easily, especially after active play.

Community Garden Proximity: The Dometop Community Garden, co-located with the park, adds another layer of community engagement and green space, fostering a sense of neighborhood connection.
As a public park managed by Metro Parks Tacoma, Rogers Dog Park does not engage in commercial promotions or special offers in the traditional business sense. Its primary "offer" is providing a free, accessible, and well-maintained public space for dog owners and the community.
However, the "special offers" here come in the form of community benefits and engagement opportunities that Metro Parks Tacoma often facilitates:
-
Free Access: The most significant "promotion" is the cost-free entry to a dedicated, fenced off-leash area, a valuable public service for pet owners.
-
Community Events: Metro Parks Tacoma frequently hosts events, classes, and volunteer opportunities across its park system. While not always directly tied to the dog park itself, these can include park clean-up days, pet-themed events, or workshops on responsible pet ownership that benefit the park and its users.
-
Enhanced Amenities: The regular maintenance and potential upgrades to features like drinking fountains, benches, and shelters are ongoing "offers" from the park system to ensure a quality experience.

Dec 08, 2024 · Jessica Rodgersits a cute park. the play ground is small no swing. but the slide is pretty steep. there is a basketball court. in the same field, there is a community garden along the street. there is a gate go down through to the dog park. the play ground, garden n basketball court r on the up hill. street parking.
Nov 13, 2018 · Mariko NicolettiMy dog enjoyed roaming around. The other dogs there at the time we went were friendly. The only thing I didn't quite like was that the grass was a little over grown but maybe I was just there a little early in the season. I love that it is fenced and I could relax and let him roam freely, always a little nerve-wracking when introducing new dogs, but the owners of the other dogs were always close to their pets until we knew there would be no issue. Parking is not so good, there is some but yikes! There are a few benches to sit on but not a lot of shade. They also have dog do bags available at entrance. It's ok for an afternoon out with my pup.
