The small dog area, in particular, is often noted by reviewers for frequently offering a more private experience, allowing owners and their small pups ample room to themselves.
  • Vast Open Spaces: Both dog park sections are described as "huge lots," providing plenty of room for dogs to run, chase, and burn off energy without feeling cramped. This expansive layout is a significant draw, especially for energetic breeds.
  • Stunning Views and Scenic Trails: Beyond the dog park itself, the surrounding Quarry Trails Metro Park boasts incredible natural beauty. Visitors to the dog park often enjoy "stunning views" and "fun to walk on the trails" within the broader park, making for a comprehensive outdoor adventure. This includes views of limestone cliffs, forested areas, and the park's signature waterfall, Millikin Falls, which contribute to a unique "urban Hocking Hills experience."
  • Friendly Community: Reviewers consistently mention the presence of "a lot of friendly dogs in the park" and overall positive interactions among owners, fostering a welcoming and sociable atmosphere.
  • Integration with Metro Park Amenities: Being part of Quarry Trails Metro Park means access to additional features like extensive hiking trails, mountain biking courses, paddling lakes, and even a unique via ferrata climbing route. While these are not part of the dog park, they enhance the overall recreational offerings for visitors and their leashed dogs outside the designated off-leash areas.

There are two parks. One for big and one for small dogs. The small one is great bc 95% of the time you have it 100% to ur self. Even with other dogs on the park it’s a huge lot so plenty of room to claim a decent sized spot just for you and your dog.

The two separate dog park spaces (small and larger dogs) need a real maintenance strategy. Otherwise, they will continue to be giant mud pits with feces scattered throughout. If the Quarry Trails park allowed dogs off leash in certain areas, that would be ideal since the dog parks are 70% time unusable.

There is a lot to do here. There's the trails of course, with a really cool floating portion on the water. There's a group Hammock area which I've never seen before. There's a rope structure for kids to play on. You can bring a kayak and There's even a little special dock to get in the water. Sights are beautiful. There's also a dog park with a big dog and little dog section, and they have a treat program some weekends where you can give your pup some water and even make them a special treat! The only drawback is that most of the trail is thick gravel which isn't great for the pups paws. But overall this park is HUGE with a ton of trails and cool sights. I'll definitely be back!

This place is ideal because it has a large area for your dogs to play. It seems to be lightly traveled. There were a variety of dogs there all well-behaved. The area is scenic with few trees. If you were looking for a bright sunny day with the pooch this is your place.
