Services Offered

Platte Landing Park Dog Park is thoughtfully equipped with features that ensure a positive experience for both dogs and their owners.

  • Separate Areas for Small and Large Dogs: A defining feature, the park provides distinct, large fenced areas. One is specifically for small dogs, typically around 2 acres, while the other, a more expansive 3-acre section, is dedicated to large dogs. This separation allows for safer and more enjoyable play tailored to different sizes and energy levels.

  • Running Water for Dogs: Hydration is critical for active pups. The park features running water, likely with dog-specific fountains, to ensure your canine companion can easily quench their thirst during playtime.

  • Pet Waste Stations: To maintain cleanliness and hygiene, the park provides pet waste stations, which typically include disposal bags and trash receptacles. This encourages responsible pet ownership and keeps the park pleasant for all visitors.

  • Double-Gated Entry: For enhanced safety and to prevent accidental escapes, both the small and large dog areas feature a double-gated entry system.

  • Seating for Owners: Benches or other seating options are available within the dog park areas, allowing owners to relax comfortably while supervising their dogs.

Just visited the dog park this past weekend and it is nice and big in the small dog side and large dog side. My complaint is that it’s terrible to walk on as a human. They could have put in a paved trail from entrance gate to sit down area, or some paved loop inside the dog park. As a human, you will twist your ankle trying to walk in that dog park. If you are disabled or use a wheelchair , there is no way you can access the inside of the dog park. I will not be back , will stay at Waggins tails dog park in NKC which is much nicer and busier.

This was my first time visiting and I'll be back! There is so much space for all dogs and people to spread out. There are a handful of benches, obstacle equipment, and a plethora of trash cans. At the entrance of the park, you'll find a water fountain for thirsty puppers. The park is split into 2 sides: large & small dogs. Upon entering, you'll find a box entitled "take a toy, leave a toy" for dogs to use while at the park. Every dog & person was friendly. Great place to watch the sunset, too! Really great dog park.
