While specific public transport options directly to the park might be limited, its location is well-suited for vehicle access. Being part of the Waukesha County Parks system means it is well-maintained and follows established guidelines, ensuring a consistent and pleasant experience for all users.
- Off-leash play areas: The primary service is providing extensive, fully-fenced areas where dogs can safely run, play, and interact without a leash.
- Separate areas for different dog sizes/temperaments: The park features multiple distinct fenced areas. This includes separate sections for large dogs, small dogs (typically those 20 inches tall at the shoulder and less), and even a "Lazy Bones Zone" for senior, shy, disabled, or low-energy pets. This thoughtful separation ensures a safer and more comfortable experience for all canines.
- Dog watering stations: Water fountains are available within the park, ensuring dogs have access to fresh water, particularly important during warmer months. Note that water may be turned off seasonally (e.g., in late October/November).
- Double-gated entrances/exits: Each separate area features a double-gating system, enhancing security and preventing accidental escapes as dogs and owners enter and exit.
- Dog waste bags: The park typically provides doggy waste bags, encouraging responsible pet ownership and contributing to the overall cleanliness of the facility.
- Toilets/Restrooms: Convenient public toilet facilities are available on-site for visitors.
- Shaded seating: The park includes shaded seating zones, allowing owners to comfortably observe their dogs while resting.
- Spacious 34-acre area: Mukwonago Dog Exercise Park is notably large, providing vast open spaces for dogs to run, play fetch, and engage in vigorous exercise. This expansive size is a significant highlight, distinguishing it from many smaller dog parks.
- Fully fenced environment: The entire exercise area is securely fenced, offering peace of mind to dog owners.
- Beautiful scenery: Located within Mukwonago Park, the dog exercise area is surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes, making visits enjoyable for owners as well.

- Variety of play environments: With multiple large open spaces and distinct areas for different dog types, the park accommodates a wide range of canine needs and preferences.

May 05, 2025 · Lindsey KlinckMultiple Large open spaces for dogs to run and play. Small and large breed friendly. Beautiful scenery all around.
Dec 04, 2023 · Crystal RogersFabulous dog park! The loop is 3/4 of a mile. Lots of paths and green spaces for the Doggo to run around.
Dec 15, 2023 · ToddBig area for both large and small breeds. They even have a " lazy bones" area that is great for older dogs.
Sep 07, 2024 · 7111979Friendly people and dogs, water system is going in. My biggest complaint is the huge mud mess in the back park. I wish there was a gate that the owners need to open for the dogs to access that area. Ours consistently follows other dogs/people over there and loves to play and dig in the mud making clean up a huge pain.
