Recommendations: - Wear muck boots during rainy seasons - Bring your own water for your dog Love this dog park, and so do my 2 dogs! It’s large, and has a decent amount of wood chips - though with recent rain it’s gotten muddy, and needs more chips. There always seem to be other dogs there, so dogs can socialize. Benches have a good view of the park, so you can sit and watch your dog. There are separate areas for dogs over 25lbs, and dogs under 25 lbs. People are friendly and care about their pets. There is no entrance fee. I deducted one star for lack of running water.

MonDaug Bark Park, nestled within the picturesque Mondauk Manor in Fort Washington, stands out as a highly regarded destination that caters to the energetic needs of dogs and the desire for community among their human counterparts. This article will provide a comprehensive and engaging overview of MonDaug Bark Park, detailing its location, the services it offers, its beloved features, and why it has become a cherished spot for local dog owners in the greater Philadelphia region.
MonDaug Bark Park is more than just a fenced-in area; it's a vibrant community asset provided by Upper Dublin Township. It reflects the township's commitment to offering diverse recreational opportunities for all residents. The park is renowned for fostering a friendly atmosphere where both dogs and their owners can connect. Many visitors report making "casual friendships" and finding "new puppy pals," underscoring its role as a social hub. While the park is currently undergoing temporary closure for renovations to enhance its long-term quality, its reputation as a "large" and frequently visited park with a "decent amount of wood chips" (when freshly laid) speaks volumes about its regular appeal. This space allows dogs to experience the pure joy of off-leash freedom in a relatively secure environment, contributing significantly to their physical and mental well-being.
MonDaug Bark Park is conveniently located at 1130 Camp Hill Rd, Fort Washington, PA 19034, USA. MonDaug Bark Park provides essential services designed to ensure a positive off-leash experience for dogs and their owners:
-
Separated Off-Leash Areas: A key feature is the provision of distinct fenced areas for dogs over 25 lbs and dogs under 25 lbs. This crucial service enhances safety by allowing dogs of similar sizes and play styles to interact comfortably.
-
Large Play Space: The park is described as "large" and offers ample room for dogs to run, play, and engage in vigorous exercise.
-
Wood Chip Surfacing: The park utilizes wood chips as a surface, which provides a softer landing for paws than hard ground, though visitors are advised that it can get muddy during rainy seasons, suggesting the need for appropriate footwear.
-
Benches for Owners: Seating is available with "good view of the park," allowing owners to comfortably supervise their dogs.
-
Waste Disposal: While reviews don't explicitly mention provided bags, the expectation in a well-maintained park is that waste receptacles are available for owners to dispose of pet waste responsibly.
MonDaug Bark Park boasts several features that contribute to its popularity among local dog owners in Pennsylvania:
-
Size-Segregated Play Areas: The dedicated sections for large and small dogs are a significant highlight, promoting a safer and more enjoyable environment for all canine visitors.
-
Spacious Environment: Its "large" size means plenty of room for dogs to run freely, chase balls, and engage in high-energy play, which is vital for burning excess energy.
-
Social Hub: The park is consistently noted for having "other dogs there," making it an excellent place for canine socialization. The friendly atmosphere also extends to human owners, fostering a sense of community.
-
Shade and Scenic Views: Being part of Mondauk Manor, the park likely benefits from existing trees that provide shade, and the overall park area offers "neat views."
-
No Entrance Fee: The absence of an entrance fee makes it an accessible and cost-effective option for regular visits, highly appreciated by the community.
-
Proximity to Walking Paths: Within Mondauk Manor, there are paved walking paths and trails, allowing for leashed walks outside the off-leash area for extended exercise or a change of scenery.
-
Stream Access (Leashed): Some information suggests there is a stream near the parking lot where leashed dogs can swim, adding another dimension to a park visit.
As a public municipal park managed by Upper Dublin Township, MonDaug Bark Park does not typically offer commercial promotions or special discounts. Its primary "offer" is the provision of a free, publicly accessible, and well-maintained space for dog recreation.
-
Community Information: While there are no direct promotions, the Upper Dublin Township Parks & Recreation Department often shares information about responsible pet ownership, park rules, and any community-wide events that may be dog-friendly. Residents are encouraged to check the official Upper Dublin Township website or their Parks & Recreation social media channels for updates on park improvements, re-opening dates, and any related programs.
-
Free Entry: A significant advantage for locals is that there is no entrance fee to utilize the MonDaug Bark Park, making it a very accessible and budget-friendly option for regular dog outings.
It is important to remember that all dogs using public parks in Pennsylvania are required to be currently licensed and vaccinated against rabies, ensuring a safe environment for all users.

Jan 24, 2023 · Faith MUpper dublin township resident- this little park has a great paved walking path and some neat views along with the Dog Park Itself. DOG PARK- separately fenced areas for Large dogs and one for smaller breeds. I have been going atleast 3 or 4 times a week since March now, we have met many new puppy pals as well as their owners, for the most part people are friendly, and genuinely care about our pets. I have made more than a few casual friendships with humans and the dogs, My pup, a 10 month old Beaglier loves going and has a blast, just watching them play is fun!
