Great park. Usually the best times to get there are 4-6 on weekdays, that’s when most dogs are there. This park has a water supply and bowls. Only thing that’s bad is there isn’t any shade unless you go later in the day, then there is a small patch of shade from the tree line. All dogs that go here are well behaved.

While not specific to the dog park itself, the Parks & Recreation department often offers various free or low-cost recreational programs, events, and educational opportunities related to outdoor activities and pet ownership throughout the year. Sep 11, 2024 · Brandon DellangeloOkay park to let your furry friend get a few sprints in. Enclosed area is mostly some times is grassy and as of this posting pretty muddy. My wife prefers now to just walk the park trails as she encountered a gentleman with 2 dogs one being a beagle. She said he is always monitoring everyone’s else’s pets, dictating rules, socially awkward and being extremely cocky with remarks. I haven’t encountered him but would enjoy giving him a good lesson on the rules, regulations, municipal codes and laws that govern public spaces and dog parks. No one likes a bully, especially one who thinks the dog park is exclusively theirs, “Sounds like school yard, b/s and childish”. I definitely will be speaking to local officials about possibly having video monitors installed especially at the dog enclosure, people tend to act very differently when being recorded.
Dec 29, 2024 · laguna beachGrassed area surrounded by a fence. Dogs can run in it. They are happy and not negatively impacted. 5/5 would dog again.
Mar 21, 2025 · Sean TokayThis dog park has 3 different fenced in areas, one for small dogs and 2 for large dogs. They have poop bags, trash cans and water bowls with a working water spout. The only thing missing when we were there were the dogs lol my dog was so excited to play with other dogs but none showed up while we were there. Seems like this place is rarely busy.
Sep 24, 2023 · Kara HavilandThis dog park is ok, there isn't any trees close enough to give shade to the park. There are 3 dog parks here all about the same size. Each has a water spigot like other dog parks have. They put the poo bags on the outside of the fence which seems weird to me. The directions took me to the basketball court parking lot, which doesn't have a lot of parking. If you type in Shipley Park Playground you'll have more parking and it seems to be closer to the dog park.
