If you're visiting Livermore with a dog this is where you need to come. Huge dog park with so much room. Some worn out agility equipment but still usable. Three standard picnic tables. Lots of room for dogs to enjoy them running. The grounds have a lot more natural feel to it, not manicured with some tiny holes. Also some weeds are of the pokey variety. You'll find lots of dogs here. Highly recommend this to be the dog park you go to in Livermore.

Livermore Canine Park provides a range of essential services and amenities designed to create a positive and safe experience for dogs and their owners within its expansive grounds:
- Huge Off-Leash Area: The park offers a massive 4-acre fully-fenced grassy space specifically for off-leash dog play. This provides ample room for dogs of all sizes to run, sprint, and explore freely, which is crucial for their physical exercise and mental well-being.
- Two Separate Fenced Areas: While it's a huge park, it intelligently divides its space into "2 separate fenced areas." This is highly beneficial for managing different play styles and ensures that all dogs, regardless of size or temperament, have a comfortable and safe environment.
- Water Stations: The park is equipped with "two water stations," ensuring that dogs have access to fresh drinking water to stay hydrated, especially vital during California's warmer months.

- Natural Environment: The "natural feel to it" offers a less manicured, more adventurous landscape for dogs to explore, complete with natural ground cover.
- Agility Elements: The availability of "agility equipment" (even if well-used) provides an added layer of engagement and entertainment for dogs and owners interested in obstacles.
- Water Accessibility: "Watering stations also included" ensure dogs can stay hydrated during their active playtime.

As a public park operated by the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD), Livermore Canine Park does not typically offer commercial promotions or special offers in the traditional retail sense. Its inherent value to the community is derived from its free and open accessibility. However, the "special offers" it provides are invaluable and continuous for local dog owners:
- Free Public Access: The most significant and ongoing "promotion" is the cost-free access to a massive, well-maintained, and fully fenced off-leash dog park. This offers a vital resource for dog owners to ensure their pets receive essential exercise and socialization without any financial burden.
- Ample Space for All: The sheer size of the park, coupled with its two separate fenced areas, is a continuous "special offer" for dog owners who prioritize extensive running room and safe play for dogs of varying sizes and energy levels.

This allows for a multifaceted outing, catering to the entire family beyond just the dog park.
- Health and Wellness Benefits: The greatest ongoing "offer" is the direct contribution to your dog's physical health through ample room for vigorous exercise and their mental well-being through essential socialization opportunities. This priceless benefit contributes to a happier, healthier pet.

Feb 28, 2025 · Jonathan MonteHuge open dog park with 2 separate fenced areas. One with more grass, but lots of ground squirrel holes. Watch where you step and take care not to step in any poop. Generally friendly folks and nice dogs. Since I was working in the neighborhood, it was a good break for my boys to hang out and play with other well behaved dogs. Bathrooms are located near the play ground area and there's huge soccer fields along with a horse area. There's a river on the back side and it's a great place to walk your dogs. Cool obstacle course and watering stations also included. Definitely worth a stop by if you're in the area.
Sep 02, 2023 · Jonathan Y. LeeA very nice open space to let your dog run free, smell, mark their spot and most likely interact with other dogs. There are two sections to this park, with the smaller one being closest to the paved parking lot and has some apparatus equipment for dog agility, as well as additional open space for the dog to run around. The larger space could be up to 4 to 5 times larger, and is so large the accompanying humans can also get exercise by walking laps from with inside of it. The real only negative things that I noticed is, the amount of gofer/mole holes in the ground, which can be an issue for the dogs legs and to human ankles, and the large grid of the perimeter fencing where thrown balls can penetrate it easily and get lost in the near by trees. After all, it's an outdoor dog park, so this is not unexpected, but you might want to understand it before attending the park.
Nov 23, 2024 · Greg RoderickNice big dog park. Several obstacles for the dogs and owners to traverse.
Aug 18, 2024 · Lemmie KleinIt's nice that this park has actual grass that is taken care of instead of just weeds and dirt like the smaller park in neighborhood. Usually pretty chill here, haven't had any issues with other dogs or owners.
