We parked at the lower lot. It could use a good sign, but google takes you there. To access the beach, you walk up steep stairs, then you go across an elevated platform over the tracks, then down a long spiral staircase to the shore. Difficult for elderly and disabled access. That being said, it's wonderful and beautiful. I want to go again soon.

Promotions or Special Offers

As a public park managed by the City of Everett, Howarth Off-Leash Area typically does not run ongoing commercial promotions or special offers in the traditional sense. Its value lies in its free access and the natural recreational opportunities it provides to the community.

However, the "special offer" of Howarth Off-Leash Area is its inherent natural beauty and the unique, free experience it offers. The changing tides provide a constantly evolving landscape – at low tide, the expansive sandy beach is a vast playground, a true gift for dogs and their owners. During higher tides, the character of the beach shifts, offering different opportunities for exploration along the rocks and driftwood. This dynamic environment, coupled with the stunning Pacific Northwest scenery, is the park's continuous "promotion."

The park also occasionally sees improvements or community initiatives by the City of Everett Parks and Recreation department, such as renovations or maintenance, which contribute to the overall quality of the visitor experience. While not a commercial promotion, these efforts ensure the park remains a high-quality, free resource for local dog owners. Visitors are always encouraged to check the City of Everett's Parks and Recreation website for any announcements regarding park conditions or temporary closures.

Beautiful! great area! Lots of doggies! Sadly many people do not pick up dog poop so it smells bad on the stairs. Lots of shells.

Cross the boardwalk through the wooded trail past a trickling Creek till you get to stairs. Go up and follow to the right and you are at a really cool circular stair structure about 200feet from the parking area to cross the train tracks. Nice place to let a dog run. But you SHOULD still pick up the poop. Because it's not respectful for the next guy coming down the trail. Ok? Just saying. We saw some crab and there was coarse sand, some rocks, driftwood and clam shells.

This place is amazing! It's a little bit of a hike to get to from the parking, but worth it! The views are gorgeous, and the wooden stairs have "porches(?)" (for lack of a better word, haha) in the middle that you can sit and have a romantic picnic and watch the sun set! I thought the beach itself was relatively big for being an off leash dog park. It was the perfect beach to bring our pup for his first time seeing and playing in the ocean (:
