Promotions or Special Offers

Howard Dog Park operates as a public amenity managed by the Village of Howard, meaning it typically does not offer commercial "promotions" or require paid permits for entry. It is a free-to-use resource for all responsible dog owners in Wisconsin, a significant benefit for local residents.

While there is no direct entry fee for the dog park itself, owners of dogs over five months of age residing in the Village of Howard are required to have an annual municipal dog license, obtained through the Village Clerk's office. This ensures compliance with local ordinances, including rabies vaccination requirements, and contributes to the overall health and safety of the canine community. Visitors from outside Howard are generally expected to comply with their home municipality's licensing and vaccination laws.

The "special offer" of Howard Dog Park is its inherent value as a well-maintained, large, and accessible off-leash area provided to the community without a direct cost. Any community efforts or potential future enhancements would likely rely on public support or local government funding.

Great little small town dog park! We love taking our English setters here to burn off some extra energy! Most people here are super friendly. Only a few flaws as I wish they would have an area where water bowls can be filled up for the dogs besides brining my own from home. Second, the fencing is starting to heave up from the frost coming out of the ground where small dogs can easily get under the fence and run away. We actually almost seen that today we're a little dog got an underneath and started to run we're a couple of people had to go get it. Other than that we will keep coming! Good job Howard!

I really really really want to give 5 stars. I love this park and it's close to home for me BUT my husky mixed dog who is a runner was able to slip through the gate. I would love to pay for materials to fix the gate area so that dogs can't slip underneath it and remain safe. If anyone knows who I reach out to please let me know.

Very large area for pups to run. Picnic tables and a small shelter for shade. Port-a-John available. I did not see a water faucet. There is a partially fenced area you can walk trails with your pup. We have a beagle, who found a location along the fence she could get thru to chase a rabbit, so be mindful if you have small dogs that like to hunt. Low spots in fence are difficult to see because of the weeds growing along it. I recommend this park if you have dogs that typically use parks for running and stretching their legs. 😉.
