Harford Park, located at 260 Gulph Creek Road, stands out as a beloved and highly recommended destination for local pups and their human counterparts. Designated as a dog park in 1997 due to its rolling hills and grassy areas, this 30-acre recreation area offers a unique blend of natural beauty and dedicated off-leash freedom.

What makes Harford Park a favorite among locals is its "very beautiful and open space," providing ample room for "all dogs to play together." Unlike some more confined urban dog runs, Harford Park embraces its natural setting, offering a vast landscape where dogs can truly stretch their legs and explore. A particularly enchanting feature noted by reviewers is the "small creek for dogs to play in," adding a refreshing and exciting element to their playtime. The park is consistently lauded for its vibrant social scene, with "always dogs to socialize with," fostering a friendly and engaging atmosphere. While it's noted that the park "can be muddy in the winter and rainy days," this is a common characteristic of natural open spaces and a minor consideration given the extensive benefits. Harford Park isn't just a dog park; it's a peaceful and dynamic outdoor haven that significantly enhances the quality of life for dogs and their owners in the Wayne region.

My dog and I love this park! It’s naturally fenced in with trees, nice shady areas, and great dogs come here regularly.

This place is dog heaven! Hands down the best dog park I’ve been to, and our 2 dogs love this place. I was concerned about the lack of fence but it’s not needed at all. It’s completely safe for your dog and dog owners that frequent here are friendly and respectful. Plenty of space for long family walks and throwing the ball around.

Beautiful unfenced dog park. Park is huge and well maintained. At the bottom of the hill you and your pup will have access to a little creek perfect for a quick cool down. Free poop bags on site.
