This is a beautiful dog park. It's also a great place to go for a park. But I just want to emphasize the dog park...2 areas 1 for littles and another for bigs. It has water for dogs and the poop bags. Please remember to pick up the poop always 🙏🏼. You can also walk your dog on a leash in the park for a beautiful stroll of the lakes and scenery.

This crucial distinction ensures that smaller, more timid dogs can play safely without being intimidated by larger, more boisterous canines, and vice versa. This separation contributes significantly to the safety and enjoyment of all dogs visiting the park.
Convenient Hydration: Dog owners often worry about their pets staying hydrated, especially on warm California days. The presence of dedicated water stations within the dog park is a major highlight, providing easy access to fresh drinking water for your canine companions. This thoughtful amenity helps keep dogs comfortable and healthy during their playtime.
Waste Management Supplies: Promoting a clean and hygienic environment is a top priority at El Dorado Park Dog Park. As a public park facility, El Dorado Park Dog Park does not typically offer ongoing commercial promotions or special offers in the traditional sense. Its value lies in providing a free, accessible, and well-maintained public space for the community's dogs and their owners. However, it's always a good idea to check the City of Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine website or local community calendars for any potential free events, workshops, or vaccination clinics that might be hosted at or near the park throughout the year. Sometimes, local pet-related businesses or animal welfare organizations may partner with the city to offer free services or educational opportunities to park visitors.

Jun 10, 2025 · RitaThere’s a separate park for small dogs under 25 pounds and large dogs over 25 pounds. It’s pretty close to the freeway and it’s fairly well maintained. Kind of hard to get to by walking.
Jun 11, 2025 · Michael KimThe park is great, but we couldn't stay because our dogs were constantly being bothered by 2 dogs until we left.
Jun 13, 2025 · Debra SmebyGreat park for everyone and pets too. Plenty of bathrooms, picnic tables and shaded areas. Parking can at times be challenging but don't give up you'll find a spot.
Jul 14, 2024 · Norma SteinThis is the largest grass turf dog park in Long Beach and my fur babies favorite though Rosie's Dog Beach is a close 2nd. It is well maintained and has a wide variety amenities including nearby well maintained restrooms with toilet paper. The park beyond the dog park is equally beautiful and is a nice place for a quieter on leash walk experience.
