Welcome to Dog Agility Park
For dog owners in San Francisco, finding dedicated spaces that cater to both exercise and mental stimulation can be a priority. The Dog Agility Park, located in the 94132 zip code area, offers a unique, enclosed environment where canine companions can not only run off-leash but also engage with some basic agility equipment. While a smaller park, it serves as a valuable local resource for those looking for a contained space for their dogs to play and socialize.
This park is distinct from larger, open dog runs, specifically designed with agility in mind, even if some of the equipment requires attention. It provides a more structured play environment, which can be particularly beneficial for dogs who enjoy a challenge or for owners looking to introduce their pups to agility training in a public setting. It’s a community-focused space where both dogs and their owners can connect and enjoy outdoor time.
User feedback indicates that while the park could benefit from some upgrades, its core function as a safe, enclosed area for dog socialization remains its strong point. Understanding its current condition and amenities will help local users in California decide if this agility park is the right fit for their furry friends. This article will provide a comprehensive overview, highlighting what you can expect from a visit to San Francisco's Dog Agility Park.
The Dog Agility Park is situated in San Francisco, California, within the 94132 zip code. Its address is listed as 7332004, San Francisco, CA 94132, USA. While "7332004" appears to be a unique identifier rather than a standard street number, the 94132 zip code indicates its location generally in the southwestern part of San Francisco, likely within or near the ParkMerced area, given its proximity to other parks mentioned in that vicinity.
As a public park, accessibility would primarily be by car, public transport, or on foot for local residents. For those driving, street parking in the surrounding residential areas is typically the primary option. Public transportation, such as MUNI bus lines, likely serves the general area, allowing for reasonable access for those without personal vehicles.
Its location makes it a convenient neighborhood amenity for residents in the immediate vicinity, offering a quick and easy destination for daily dog outings. While the exact precise location can be a bit ambiguous from the given address, local knowledge of the 94132 area would likely guide regular visitors directly to it.
- Enclosed Off-Leash Area: The park is an "enclosed space," providing a secure environment for dogs to play off-leash without concerns of them wandering off into surrounding areas. This is a crucial service for owners who prioritize containment.
- Agility Equipment: The park is specifically named "Dog Agility Park" because it provides equipment designed for agility training. While some pieces may be "cracked & in need of a few repairs," the equipment is still functional for teaching pups through the course, including jumps, tunnels, or weave poles (typical agility elements).
- Dog Socialization Space: It serves as a spot "for dogs to meet & socialize (& of course their owners too :D)," fostering a community environment where dogs can interact and owners can connect.
- Basic Exercise Area: Even with its smaller size, it offers a dedicated area for dogs to run and play, providing essential physical exercise.
- Dedicated Agility Focus: The primary highlight is its specialized focus on dog agility. For owners interested in introducing their dogs to agility or practicing basic skills, this park offers a unique and convenient public resource.
- Enclosed and Secure: Being an "enclosed space" is a significant feature, providing peace of mind for owners who prefer a fenced environment for off-leash play, particularly in an urban setting.
- Community Interaction: The park fosters a sense of community, serving as a place where "dogs to meet & socialize (& of course their owners too :D)," indicating a friendly atmosphere among regular visitors.
- Potential for Improvement: While noted for its current condition, the fact that residents have put in "a request for repairs to the property mgmt." suggests ongoing community engagement and a potential for future upgrades, indicating a dedicated user base.
- Accessible for Quick Visits: Its small size and neighborhood location make it ideal for quick, routine visits, fitting into daily schedules for local dog owners.
As a public dog park, the Dog Agility Park does not typically offer commercial promotions, discounts, or membership programs. Its primary "offer" is the free and open access to a dedicated space for dog play and basic agility training for the community.
Any "special offers" or unique opportunities would likely stem from community-organized efforts rather than official park promotions. For example, local dog training groups might use the park for informal meetups or practice sessions. The fact that residents have submitted requests for repairs indicates an active community that values the park, and future improvements (if funded and implemented) could be seen as an ongoing benefit to users.
Dog owners interested in community events or potential park improvements should consider contacting the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department (contact details below) or looking for local neighborhood groups that might advocate for or organize activities at the park. While no direct financial promotions are available, the continuous provision of this unique agility space serves as a valuable, free resource for local dog owners in California.

While a direct phone number for this specific park is not provided, the central contact for the city's park system is available.

For dog owners in San Francisco, particularly those in the 94132 zip code area, the Dog Agility Park offers a uniquely suitable space for their canine companions. Its primary advantage is its designation as an "enclosed space," providing a secure and contained environment for off-leash play. This is invaluable in an urban setting, offering peace of mind for owners concerned about their dogs running off or encountering traffic.
Beyond simple off-leash play, the park's focus on agility equipment sets it apart. While current conditions indicate a need for "upgrades" and repairs, the presence of these features allows owners to engage their dogs in more stimulating activities beyond just running. This provides mental as well as physical exercise, which is crucial for well-behaved and happy dogs. Even with cracked equipment, it serves as a foundational spot for introducing pups to agility concepts or for basic practice, satisfying a niche need for many local pet parents.
Furthermore, the park functions as a "nice little enclosed space for dogs to meet & socialize (& of course their owners too :D)." This community aspect is vital in a city like San Francisco, fostering connections among dog owners and allowing dogs to develop crucial social skills. Its small, neighborhood-oriented nature makes it highly convenient for quick, regular visits, integrating seamlessly into daily routines. Despite its current need for maintenance, its core utility as a secure, agility-focused, and community-friendly space makes the Dog Agility Park a valuable and suitable resource for locals seeking a specialized and accessible play area for their canine companions.

Apr 22, 2025 · Anaperla AureolesBeen here about 2 x’s/week in the last few months; this is a cute small agility park that could definitely use a few upgrades. It's still a nice little enclosed space for dogs to meet & socialize (& of course their owners too :D). But I'm just saying that the (dogs) water fountain is broken, and some of the agility equipment is cracked & in need of a few repairs - not terrible; you can still teach your pup thru the course – however the equipment needs some upgrades, that's all. →BTW – I've put in a request for repairs to the property mgmt. & so did another resident I met there... That was ~a month ago (May '23) so we shall see... [fingers crossed🤞]
Jul 03, 2023 · Andrina AThe agility equipment is distinctly limited. Some visitors are not good at clearing up after their dogs. The nice thing about this place is that it's quiet and out of the way and often empty, so it's a good place to let the dog run around off leash.
Feb 02, 2020 · Pete BunchNice park for training. Some of the equipment could use some maintenance, but is still mostly functional.
Mar 16, 2023 · Sunil "Neil" GuptaConvenient area to let the dogs off the leash without having to worry about them wandering. Could be cleaner, smells like urine, but hey it's a dog park.
