Welcome to Dairy Ridge Dog Run
For dog owners across Wisconsin, the dream of a truly dedicated, controlled, and enriching environment for their canine companions often comes with a desire for something beyond the typical public dog park. Dairy Ridge Dog Run in Verona answers that call, offering a unique, private dog park experience that includes both expansive outdoor areas and a remarkable indoor facility. This innovative approach ensures that Wisconsin dogs can play, train, and socialize in a safe, quiet, and engaging setting, regardless of the weather outside.
Dairy Ridge Dog Run isn't just a place for dogs to run; it's a thoughtfully designed space focused on providing enriching activities and a stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. As a private park, it operates on a booking system, which ensures a controlled number of dogs and allows for personalized visits, making it ideal for dogs who might be overwhelmed in crowded public settings, or for owners looking to focus on training. For locals in the Verona area and beyond, Dairy Ridge Dog Run has quickly become a standout destination, known for its dedication to canine well-being and its innovative year-round offerings.
Dairy Ridge Dog Run is conveniently located at 8102 Dairy Ridge Rd, Verona, WI 53593, USA. This rural setting provides a peaceful backdrop, situated approximately 15 minutes west of Madison, nestled between Verona and Mount Horeb. Its location makes it easily accessible for residents throughout Dane County and surrounding areas, offering a serene escape from more urban environments.
A key aspect of Dairy Ridge Dog Run's accessibility is its private, appointment-based system. The park operates daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, but access is granted only through pre-booked time slots. This ensures that the park is never overcrowded, providing a quiet and controlled environment that can be particularly beneficial for dogs that are easily distracted or require focused training. The facility is designed for year-round use, with both outdoor and indoor options available, meaning adverse Wisconsin weather will never hinder your dog's playtime. Visitors are encouraged to book their slots in advance to ensure availability. The rules stipulate that dogs must be leashed when outside the fenced-in dog park area and a leash must be carried at all times within the park.
- Private Off-Leash Playtime: The core service is the provision of dedicated, pre-booked time slots for individual or small group (up to 5 dogs total) off-leash play in both indoor and outdoor environments. This ensures privacy and control.
- Indoor Dog Park: A unique offering, the indoor facility provides a climate-controlled space with various obstacles and equipment for agility training and mental enrichment, perfect for year-round use.
- Outdoor Dog Park: An expansive, fully fenced outdoor area allows dogs to run, explore, and play in a natural setting. This area includes a clear-walled shed for owners to take shelter from the weather.
- Enrichment Activities: Both indoor and outdoor spaces are equipped with various "obstacles for agility training" and "things for the dogs to climb on and explore," providing engaging activities to tire out dogs both physically and mentally.
- Training Environment: The quiet and private nature of the park makes it an ideal spot to "work on dog training... without being interrupted."
- Waste Disposal: Waste bags and trash receptacles are provided throughout the park, promoting cleanliness and responsible pet ownership.
- Indoor Dog Park: A standout feature, allowing for "year-round" enjoyment regardless of Wisconsin's cold winters or hot, humid summers. It’s praised as "So fun! The indoor dog park was great."
- Private Booking System: The ability to "book your time" ensures that you have exclusive or semi-exclusive access to the park, preventing overcrowding and ensuring a "nice and quiet" environment. You "can share with friends, as it is your time."
- Rich Enrichment Opportunities: Both parks offer "so many different enriching activities for the dogs," including obstacles for agility and things to climb on and explore, ensuring dogs are "very tired after."
- All-Weather Comfort for Owners: The outdoor park features a "clear walled shed for you to stand in to get out of the weather and wind," a thoughtful amenity for owners.
- Ideal for Training and Sensitive Dogs: The private and quiet nature is perfect for "work on dog training in an outdoor or indoor environment without being interrupted" or for dogs who are shy or reactive to others. As one customer stated, "A place where you can bring your dogs, and not have to worry about encounters with other dogs. Totally safe."
- Clean and Well-Maintained: Reviews highlight the park's cleanliness, with one mentioning, "The park is clean, has lots of bags for waste disposal, has a lovely covered area (with a great swing)."
- Fully Fenced: Both indoor and outdoor areas are securely fenced, ensuring the safety of off-leash dogs.
Dairy Ridge Dog Run operates on a unique model of pre-booked private sessions, and their pricing is structured through various packages designed to offer flexibility and value. While traditional "promotions" might not be advertised, their package deals effectively serve this purpose:
- Single Visits: Available for one-time use, perfect for trying out the park. The cost for a single 50-minute session is typically $25 for the outdoor park and $30 for the indoor park, with prices potentially varying based on peak times or specific amenities.
- Multi-Session Packages: The park offers more economical multi-pass packages, such as 5-session or 10-session bundles, which reduce the per-visit cost significantly. For example, a 5-session outdoor package might be $115, and a 10-session package $200, representing substantial savings compared to single bookings. Indoor packages also follow a similar tiered pricing.
- Flexibility: While payment is required at the time of booking, the cancellation policy allows for partial refunds with sufficient notice (typically 6 hours).
These packages are designed to encourage repeat visits and provide better value for loyal customers. Interested locals in Verona and surrounding Wisconsin areas are strongly encouraged to visit the official Dairy Ridge Dog Run website or contact them directly via phone or email to view the most current package pricing, book appointments, and understand their cancellation policy. Mar 30, 2025 · Courtney CordovaVery cool place! Nice and quiet, can work on dog training in an outdoor or indoor environment without being interrupted. Or just let them run. This is a private park so you have to book your time, but you can share with friends, as it is your time. They have things for the dogs to climb on and explore, and the outdoor park has a clear walled shed for you to stand in to get out of the weather and wind. The indoor park has a ton of obstacles for agility training, they make great use of the space.
May 04, 2025 · J&A Oils & SupplementsThis was a super place to visit. We rented the indoor space and it was really cool. Our dogs had a blast exploring the space, rooms, and levels. The agility equipment was a lot of fun for them as well, and it had plenty of space for them to stretch their legs. We scoped out the outdoor area as we drove out and it also looked really cool. This is definitely a space we will utilize more of going forward.
Apr 22, 2025 · Dan BurnettWe love taking our dog to dairy ridge run. We buy the packages because we go so often. Since we don’t have a yard, we were always worrying she wasn’t getting enough exercise. This place is everything we could have asked for. Our dog loves it. Both the indoor and outdoor runs are well maintained, equipment is always clean, they supply dog bags & trash, and theres plenty of running room/things to do. Outside, there’s shade/shelter for tough weather days, a mini kids pool for dogs to cool down in the heat, tons of toys, and they have put out water for the dogs to drink on hot days. For the indoor run, there’s a ball pit, structures for dogs to climb up and down if they’d like to, and plenty of toys as well. In Wisconsin, this was an incredible find to exercise our energetic dog in summer and winter.
Jul 25, 2024 · Lauryn WinterHere's a positive review for Dairy Ridge Dog Run: --- Dairy Ridge Dog Run is an absolute gem! The convenience of this location makes it so easy to visit regularly, and my dog absolutely loves it here. The assortment of toys and obstacles is fantastic—there’s always something new for my pup to explore and enjoy. Whether it’s running through the tunnels, playing fetch, it’s always a great time. We’re so lucky to have such a well-maintained and fun dog park nearby. Highly recommend!
