Overall, this dog park is nice. My dog loves going here. The only thing that I have an issue with is this older lady that comes in with her dog that has a humping problem and she cannot control her dog! If you cannot control your dog, do not bring it to the dog park simple! No matter how big or small the dog is if you can’t control it obviously there’s a problem and you need to fix it.

Situated in a prime location, this dog park provides a beautiful, well-kept, and fully fenced area where dogs can enjoy off-leash freedom. Imagine your pup happily exploring agility equipment, running with new friends, and hydrating at convenient water stations, all under the comforting shade of trees or dedicated covers. It’s a place where you can relax, knowing your dog is safe and having a fantastic time, truly enjoying being a dog in the beautiful Florida sunshine.
The park's association with the Halifax Humane Society also adds a layer of community support and animal welfare awareness, making it a place where you can feel good about bringing your pet. It stands as a testament to Daytona Beach’s commitment to providing excellent recreational opportunities for all its residents, including those with four paws.
The Community Public Dog Park at Halifax Humane Society, Inc. is conveniently located at 2364 LPGA Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32124, USA. This prime location offers exceptional accessibility for both local residents and travelers passing through the area, particularly given its proximity "off I-95."
Being situated at the Halifax Humane Society campus means easy navigation and ample parking, which is a significant advantage for dog owners. Reviewers frequently highlight its convenience "right off of I-95" and its closeness to "numerous restaurants and an outlet mall," making it an ideal "pit stop" for those on a journey through Central Florida. While the park is open to the public, its association with the Humane Society ensures a well-managed environment. It's often described as a "gated business outside business hours," meaning there are specific operating hours, generally from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, though it's always best to check current hours before visiting. Its design allows for straightforward entry and exit, making it a hassle-free destination for daily visits or quick breaks.
The Community Public Dog Park at Halifax Humane Society, Inc. provides a robust set of services and amenities designed for optimal canine enjoyment and owner comfort:
- Fully Fenced Off-Leash Areas: The park features extensive, securely fenced enclosures, ensuring a safe environment for dogs to run and play freely without a leash.
- Separate Areas for Large and Small Dogs: To accommodate all sizes and play styles, the park offers "separate small and large dog play areas." This segregation helps prevent potential conflicts and allows dogs to socialize with appropriate companions.
- Agility Equipment: For mental and physical stimulation, the park includes "agility courses" or "fun obstacles to navigate." This equipment provides opportunities for dogs to jump, weave, and explore, enhancing their playtime.
- Shaded Areas: A critical amenity in Florida's climate, the park provides "shade covers" or "plenty of shade," ensuring comfort for both dogs and their owners, especially during warmer parts of the day.
- Water Stations: "Fresh water" and "water stations for pet owners and their animals" are available, allowing dogs to stay hydrated during their active play. Some reviews also mention "access to water for both pups and humans."
- Walking Trails (Leashed Section): Beyond the off-leash areas, there are "walking trails" and a "leashed section" available, offering a change of pace and an option for dogs who prefer on-leash exploration or for cooling down after vigorous play.
- Pet Waste Stations: For cleanliness and responsible pet ownership, the park offers "complimentary poop bags" and disposal bins, encouraging visitors to keep the area tidy.
- Seating for Owners: "Shaded seating areas" and benches are provided for owners to relax and supervise their dogs in comfort.

As a public amenity operated by the Halifax Humane Society, the Community Public Dog Park itself typically offers free entry for all visitors. Therefore, there are generally no commercial "promotions" or "special offers" directly tied to using the dog park. Its primary "offer" is its free accessibility as a well-maintained and feature-rich public space for canine recreation.
However, the Halifax Humane Society frequently runs various promotions and events that are highly beneficial for the broader pet-loving community and may indirectly relate to the dog park. These can include:
- Adoption Events: The Humane Society regularly hosts "No Cost to Adopt" events or reduced-fee adoption specials for dogs and cats, sometimes featuring on-site activities that could draw visitors to the overall campus, including the dog park area.
- Training Demonstrations: The Humane Society might host dog training demonstrations or workshops, potentially utilizing areas within or near the dog park, which could be free or low-cost for attendees.
- Community Gatherings: Events like "Yappy Hour" or pet-themed festivals may take place on the Humane Society grounds, offering opportunities for pet owners to socialize and learn about responsible pet care.
- Partnerships with Pet Services: The Humane Society partners with various pet-related businesses (e.g., mobile dog gyms like Run-N-Paw) for activities, some of which might be visible or accessible to dog park visitors.
To stay informed about these valuable community initiatives and any special events that might be happening at the Halifax Humane Society campus, including those near or involving the dog park, it is highly recommended to visit the official Halifax Humane Society website (halifaxhumanesociety.org) and follow their social media channels.
