We use the small dog side of this park which is pretty spacious. The “membership” fee is $10 a month for unlimited use during park hours. There is a seated area for shade along with several benches. There’s two small metal garbage bins with bags to clean up after your dog. They offer a small dog size drinking fountain with a fountain to assuming fill bowls. There’s always a hose as well. There is also access to a restroom for use right in front of the entrance. It’s very clean every time we come here which is different times of the day. The pet owners that come here all seem to be very friendly and respectful with well behaved and friendly dogs. Haven’t seen or heard of any accidents or fights breaking out on either side of the park.

Services Offered

Cardinal Bark Park is designed to provide a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for dogs and their owners. While it's a public park, its membership system and amenities elevate the user experience:

  • Membership-Based Access: Entry to the park requires a paid monthly membership, ensuring that dogs using the facility are registered with Brownsburg Parks and have current vaccination records (Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper, and Parvo). Members receive a collar tag for their dog and a key fob for entry.
  • Separated Play Areas: The two-acre bark park is thoughtfully divided into two distinct, fenced areas: one for large dogs and another specifically for dogs under 30 pounds. This separation ensures safe and comfortable play for all sizes and energy levels.
  • Off-Leash Play: Within each securely fenced area, dogs are encouraged to run and play off-leash, allowing them to expend energy and socialize naturally without restraint.
  • Waste Stations: The park provides small metal garbage bins with bags, making it easy for owners to clean up after their dogs and helping to keep the park consistently clean.
  • Dog Drinking Fountains: There is a small dog-sized drinking fountain, with an additional fountain presumably for filling bowls or for human use. This ensures dogs stay hydrated, especially during active play.
  • Dog Wash Station: A convenient wash station with a hose is available for rinsing off muddy paws before leaving the park. (Note: Shampoo products are not allowed.)
  • Public Restroom Access: A public restroom is conveniently located right in front of the entrance to the bark park, outside the fenced area, providing an essential amenity for human visitors.

My dog loves it here. There is plenty of room to run and play. There is a hill and tunnel and a walking path. During warm months there are water fountains for the dogs to drink from and a public restroom (located outside the fenced in dog area). I also love that it is right next to the B&O Trail so I can walk over from my house. There are a few people that bring dogs that don't play nice with others, but for the most part it's great.

This is a beautiful new park. There's an area for small dogs and for large. A membership is needed to get in .

We've been members for about 6 months. The park is always clean and the dogs are friendly! It was just built recently, so the drainage is great. Even after a rain there are only a few bottles. This is a great place to bring your furry family

We love the dog park! The park is well-maintained and we haven't had any issues with dogs. There are two fenced off areas - one for larger dogs and one for smaller dogs. The park hosts "pool parties" and other events on occasion as well. You do need to register your dog with the parks department to get a key fob to enter the park. The membership fee is $10 per month for a single dog.
