After moving to the Charlotte area 5 years ago, this was the first dog park we visited. It was one of the largest and most accessible dog parks to the public. My buddy Duke made his first friend there that we still see all the time and make plans with elsewhere. It has a nice walking loop along a beautiful but small lake, and now connected to Little Sugar Creek Greenway, which is a great option if the dog parks gets too packed and your dog needs a nice break by hiking through beautifully maintained greenway. This is a 4 star rating because irresponsible dog owners visit this place, they bring small children or food, and often times the terrain has either broken glass or too many rocks that injure canine paws. My boy Duke split his claw there in a jagged rock while playing. Overall, great place. Needs improvement though.

Apr 12, 2025 · Nathan BhattiI have to say - totally in love with this dog park! 🐶 It's huge and doesn't discriminate on size, absolutely perfect! 🐾 It has plenty of seats and even a cute swing and picnic table for work. The vibe here is so chill and everyone's always on the lookout if their dog's acting a bit off – super considerate. The place is sparkling clean and they've got dookie bags and trash bins available too. 💕
Apr 13, 2025 · Katie PhillipsOur favorite dog park in south Charlotte. After it rains the water collects at the bottom of the hill so it's not as muddy everywhere or swampy.
Jun 01, 2025 · Corrie KondekVery spacious dog park with watering station for the dogs. A nice canopy above to provide ample shade in the hotter months. Wish there was a bit more grassy areas, but overall a really solid place to have your dog burn off a little excess energy.
