The sense of security, combined with the sheer size of the park, makes it a favored spot for those seeking a worry-free environment where their dogs can truly thrive off-leash. While a Three Rivers Park District permit is required for entry, the value it offers in terms of space, cleanliness, and amenities makes it a worthwhile investment for serious dog enthusiasts.
In this comprehensive article, we'll delve into all the specifics that make Bryant Lake Dog Park an exceptional choice for locals. We'll cover its precise location and how to access it, detail the extensive list of services and features, and provide essential contact information. By the end, you'll understand why many local dog owners consider paying for an annual permit a small price for the immense joy and convenience this park provides.
Bryant Lake Dog Park is conveniently located at 6328 Rowland Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55344, USA. This prime address places it within the larger Bryant Lake Regional Park, a beautiful 170-acre park managed by the Three Rivers Park District. Its location in Eden Prairie makes it highly accessible for residents of Minneapolis's southwest suburbs, including Eden Prairie itself, Minnetonka, Edina, Chanhassen, and Bloomington.
Access to the dog off-leash area is straightforward and well-marked. Upon entering Bryant Lake Regional Park, signs will direct you towards the designated dog park parking lot. Ample parking is typically available, ensuring a hassle-free arrival. From the parking lot, visitors proceed to a double-gated entry system, which is a key safety feature for managing the entry and exit of dogs securely.
It is important to note that, as a Three Rivers Park District off-leash area, a valid permit is required for access. These permits can be purchased as an annual pass or a daily pass. Information from customer reviews and the Three Rivers Park District indicates that an annual permit might be around $66 for non-Minneapolis residents for the first dog and $38 for Minneapolis residents, with additional dog discounts. Daily passes are often available for $5. Permits can typically be purchased online through the Three Rivers Park District website, or at park visitor centers, ensuring proper funding for the park's excellent maintenance. The park is open from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day of the week, offering extensive hours for early morning or late evening visits, catering to diverse schedules of Minnesota dog owners.
Bryant Lake Dog Park offers a comprehensive array of services and amenities designed to enhance the experience for both dogs and their owners:
- Spacious Off-Leash Area: A generous 9-acre fully-fenced space where dogs can run, play, and socialize freely. The large size ensures plenty of room for all visitors.
- Separate Small Dog Area: A dedicated and separately fenced section specifically for small dogs, providing a safe and comfortable environment for smaller breeds or those who prefer less interaction with larger dogs. This area is noted by reviewers to be "bigger than most dog parks in total."
- Real Restrooms for Humans: A significant highlight, providing clean and convenient bathroom facilities for two-legged visitors, a highly appreciated amenity often lacking in other dog parks.
- Fenced Pond Access: The park features a beautiful pond within the fenced off-leash area, allowing water-loving dogs to swim and cool off. While some owners note a potential "smell," many still appreciate the option.
- Fresh Water Fountains for Dogs: Water fountains are available for dogs to drink from, ensuring they stay hydrated during their playtime.
- Benches and Picnic Tables: Numerous seating options are scattered throughout the park, offering comfortable spots for owners to relax, supervise their dogs, and socialize with other dog enthusiasts.
- Walking Paths: The large area includes various paths and open spaces, allowing for varied activities from vigorous running to leisurely walks.
- Daily and Annual Permits: The park offers flexible access through the purchase of day passes or annual permits, catering to both occasional and frequent users.
- Waste Disposal: While owners are expected to clean up after their dogs, waste receptacles are strategically placed for convenient disposal.
- Professional Management: As part of the Three Rivers Park District, the park benefits from professional management, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
Bryant Lake Dog Park boasts several impressive features that make it a standout destination for dog owners across Minnesota:
- Expansive 9-Acre Fully-Fenced Space: This generous size is a major highlight, providing ample room for dogs to run, play, and explore without feeling confined. The "fully-fenced" aspect offers crucial peace of mind for owners.
- Dedicated, Large Small Dog Area: A truly exceptional feature, the separate small dog area is noted by visitors to be "bigger than most dog parks in total." This thoughtful design ensures a safe and enjoyable environment specifically for smaller or more timid dogs, a highly valued amenity.
- Real, Clean Bathrooms for Humans: This is a frequently praised convenience, as clean and accessible restroom facilities for owners are rare at many dog parks and significantly enhance the visitor experience.
- Beautiful Pond for Swimming: The presence of a pond within the fenced off-leash area is a unique and attractive feature for water-loving dogs, allowing them to cool off and enjoy aquatic play, even if some owners are wary of the natural pond smell.
- Abundant Seating: With "several benches and picnic tables," owners have plenty of comfortable spots to relax, observe their dogs, and socialize with fellow park-goers, fostering a friendly community atmosphere.
- Clean and Well-Maintained: Customer reviews consistently highlight the park's cleanliness and excellent upkeep, underscoring the commitment of the Three Rivers Park District to providing a pleasant environment for all.
- Friendly Community: The park attracts "extremely friendly and helpful" people, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for first-time visitors and regulars alike.
- Water Fountains for Dogs: Ensuring pets stay hydrated, especially during active play, is made easy with readily available drinking fountains.
- Extended Hours: Being open from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily offers incredible flexibility for dog owners to visit at their convenience, accommodating various schedules.
As a public facility managed by the Three Rivers Park District, Bryant Lake Dog Park primarily offers value through its high-quality amenities and extensive access, rather than traditional commercial "promotions" or "special offers." The core "offer" is the provision of a superior off-leash experience.
However, the permit system itself presents a form of value for frequent users:
- Annual Permit for Cost Savings: While a daily pass is available (approximately $5), purchasing an annual Three Rivers Park District Off-Leash Dog Park Permit offers significant cost savings for regular visitors. This annual permit typically grants access to all seven Three Rivers Park District off-leash dog areas, including Bryant Lake Dog Park. For example, current pricing (as of 2025) might be around $66 for the first dog (non-Minneapolis residents) or $38 for Minneapolis residents, with reduced rates for additional dogs. This is a substantial "deal" for those who visit frequently.
- Access to Multiple High-Quality Parks: The fact that one annual permit covers multiple excellent dog parks throughout the Three Rivers Park District system is a huge value proposition, allowing dog owners to explore different environments without purchasing individual passes for each.
Three Rivers Park District occasionally hosts special events or educational programs within its parks, some of which may be dog-friendly. While these are not direct promotions for the dog park itself, they add to the overall benefits of being a permit holder within the larger park system. For the most accurate and current information on permit pricing, how to purchase a permit, and any upcoming dog-related events within the Three Rivers Park District, it is always recommended to visit their official website directly.

Bryant Lake Dog Park is an exceptionally suitable and highly recommended destination for local Minnesota dog owners, particularly those in Eden Prairie and the surrounding southwestern Twin Cities suburbs. Its comprehensive design and excellent management by the Three Rivers Park District make it a premier choice for canine recreation.
Firstly, the sheer size of the 9-acre fenced off-leash area provides ample room for dogs to truly exercise and explore. This is a significant advantage over smaller, often crowded urban parks, allowing for more vigorous play and diverse activities. The thoughtful inclusion of a dedicated, large small dog area ensures that all dogs, regardless of size or temperament, have a safe and comfortable space to socialize, catering to a wide range of canine needs within our community.
Secondly, the amenities at Bryant Lake Dog Park truly elevate the experience for both dogs and their human companions. The presence of fresh water fountains for dogs is essential for hydration, while the real, clean bathrooms for people are a frequently praised convenience, making longer visits much more comfortable. The beautiful pond within the fenced area offers a unique opportunity for water-loving pups to cool off and play, adding another dimension to the park's appeal. This attention to detail demonstrates a strong commitment to visitor satisfaction.
Finally, while a Three Rivers Park District permit is required, this system directly contributes to the park's consistently high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall quality. Dec 29, 2024 · Adam JohnstonPlenty of parking, lots of friendly doggies and owners. Great park for our first time trying one out. Turd bags provided, water fill up too and lots of room to run off leash.
Jun 04, 2025 · C GSmall and Large dog park. Both have nice paths and woods suitable for each. Big area has plenty of room to run around for larger dogs. Water and bowls on site. Really nice park for all types of pups.
Jun 13, 2025 · Charles VaubelDog park is well maintained and spacious for my dog to run around and play. They WILL check to see if you have a pass so make sure you either have a day or annual pass. Obtaining a day pass online was quick and easy! My only issue is with owners. Why yell at dogs trying to play with each other when there is no aggression involved? This is a DOG park where dogs get to socialize and play with each other. Also, owners with small dogs who don’t want other dogs to interact with them should stay in the small dog area or not bring your dogs to an off-leash dog park. Otherwise, great place to bring your dogs :)
