Bartow County Dog Park, as a public facility operated by Bartow County Parks and Recreation, provides essential services focused on creating a safe, clean, and enjoyable off-leash environment for dogs. While it doesn't offer commercial services, its core amenities are highly valued by local users:
- Separate Areas for Large and Small Dogs: A standout service is the provision of two distinct, fully fenced sections – one dedicated to larger breeds and another for smaller dogs. This separation enhances safety and comfort for all canines, allowing for more appropriate play interactions.
- Fully Fenced Enclosures: Both designated areas are fully fenced, ensuring that dogs can play off-leash within secure boundaries. This is a crucial safety feature that provides peace of mind for dog owners, helping to prevent dogs from straying.
- Double-Gated Entrances: For added security, the park utilizes double-gated entry systems. This design helps prevent dogs from slipping out when other visitors are entering or exiting the park, further enhancing the safety of the off-leash experience.
- Water Availability: The park provides water for dogs, often through fountains or communal bowls, ensuring that pets stay hydrated during their active playtime. While it's always good to bring your own bowl just in case, this is a much-appreciated amenity.
- Doggie Poop Bags and Waste Receptacles: To maintain cleanliness and encourage responsible pet ownership, the park offers accessible doggie poop bags and waste disposal stations throughout the area, making it easy for owners to clean up after their pets.
- Shade and Seating: The park features areas with shade, often from mature trees, providing relief from the Georgia sun for both dogs and their owners. Benches and picnic tables are also available for owners to rest and observe their dogs playing.

- Dedicated Large and Small Dog Sections: The clear separation of play areas for different dog sizes is a major draw. This thoughtful design minimizes potential conflicts and allows smaller or more timid dogs to play without being overwhelmed by larger, more boisterous companions, and vice-versa.
- Fully Fenced and Double-Gated Security: The complete fencing of both sections, coupled with double-gated entrances, offers superior security. This feature is paramount for owners who prioritize safety and wish to let their dogs off-leash with confidence.

Jun 10, 2025 · Scott MachenIt wasn't the easiest to find, but what a hidden gem! There's 2 separate spaces, 1 for smaller dogs another for larger dogs. It is kept clean and there are doggie poop bags you can use to continue the cleanliness. My dogs enjoy running around playing ball and also with other dogs. There's water provided and bowls. And a double gate so that when one's open the other is closed helping prevent lost doggies.
Apr 30, 2025 · Alisa NedBE AWARE. AGGRESSIVE DOG I love this dog park other than this poor excuse for an owner who always allows her dogs to go from the car to the park without a leash. Today, her dog ran right up to, and attacked my dog unwarranted, multiple times until I had to remove the dog myself. She should no longer be allowed at this park, and I will be posting signs to warn others.
