My husband had bought me a 10 week old Great Dane puppy he been coughing from day one and when I took him to the vet they wanted to charge me money to get him tested when it was supposed to be free I called the store and brought up my concerns to only be told to call the warranty number when I told them I did not want to give him up. I wanted to keep him. I was just informing them about him having kennel cough. They then proceeded to tell me that they make sure daily that All their dogs are OK when he has been doing this since day one and I told them that they just kept telling me call the warranty department and tell them what happened And they will help me they won’t help me because I’m not purchasing the extended plan not to mention with him, sneezing a lot, and having a lot of liquid discharge coming from his nose, you can see on the picture every time he sneeze my bed would get wet

Petland Jacksonville Introduce

Welcome to Petland Jacksonville, a pet store located at 13740 Beach Blvd #415 in Jacksonville, FL 32224, USA. As a "Pet Store Near Me," Petland Jacksonville aims to serve the local community by providing a variety of pet-related goods and potentially services. Pet stores typically offer a range of products, including pet food, treats, toys, bedding, grooming supplies, and accessories for various types of animals. Some pet stores also offer live animals for sale, such as puppies, kittens, fish, reptiles, and small mammals.

When choosing a local pet store, customers often consider factors such as the variety of products offered, the quality of the animals (if sold), the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness and overall environment of the store, and the pricing of goods and animals. Pet stores serve as a convenient place for pet owners to acquire essential supplies and potentially find a new pet to join their family. The role of a pet store in the local community extends to providing resources and sometimes advice related to pet care.

Based on recent customer reviews, the environment at Petland Jacksonville appears to be a significant area of concern for some patrons. One reviewer described seeing "multiple dogs all in the same 2x4 container with wire bottoms," with some of these enclosures having "💩 under them." This raises concerns about the living conditions provided for the animals in the store. The same reviewer also noted that a dog they held was "leaking from the nose so bad," indicating a potential health issue that was visibly apparent. These observations suggest that prospective customers may want to assess the store's animal housing conditions firsthand.

The services offered at Petland Jacksonville, based on the limited information and customer reviews, appear to include the sale of live animals, specifically puppies and potentially other pets. One review mentions the purchase of a Great Dane puppy. The store also seems to have a process in place related to the health of the animals sold, as indicated by the mention of a "warranty number" to call for health concerns. However, one customer reported dissatisfaction with the response received when raising concerns about their puppy's persistent coughing and nasal discharge, stating they were repeatedly told to call the warranty department instead of receiving direct assistance or information about the puppy's condition. Another review mentions the store providing "certification papers" for the animals, suggesting they may attempt to assure customers of the animals' health and origin.

The features of Petland Jacksonville, as perceived through the lens of the provided customer feedback, present a mixed picture. One potential feature is the availability of puppies for sale, which can be a draw for individuals looking to add a canine companion to their family. However, the high price mentioned for one specific dog ($5,400) may be a point of consideration for potential buyers. A concerning feature highlighted in the reviews is the observed living conditions of some of the animals, including confinement in small spaces with wire bottoms and the presence of feces. Additionally, the handling of customer concerns regarding the health of newly purchased animals, with the reported redirection to a warranty department instead of direct assistance, could be seen as a feature of their customer service approach.

Currently, there is no positive feedback or information suggesting specific positive features or promotional offers at Petland Jacksonville within the provided reviews. The overwhelming sentiment in the feedback is negative, focusing on concerns about animal welfare and customer service. One reviewer expressed feeling "so bad for the dogs" due to their observed conditions and was compelled to leave the store immediately, feeling upset by what they witnessed. Another reviewer questioned how the store remains in business and stated they would not recommend it under any circumstances, emphasizing their sympathy for the puppies.

Given the strong negative sentiments expressed in the available customer reviews, it is difficult to objectively highlight positive features or promotional information. The primary themes emerging from the feedback are centered around concerns for the welfare of the animals housed at the store and dissatisfaction with the handling of health issues reported by a customer who recently purchased a puppy. These reviews paint a concerning picture of the environment and the store's response to customer issues. Potential customers may want to consider these points carefully and perhaps seek additional information or visit the store to form their own assessment before making any purchases.

In conclusion, Petland Jacksonville, located at 13740 Beach Blvd #415 in Jacksonville, FL, operates as a local pet store that sells live animals, including puppies, and likely offers a range of pet supplies. However, the available customer reviews raise significant concerns regarding the living conditions of the animals in the store and the handling of customer service issues related to animal health. Prospective customers are advised to consider this feedback and conduct their own thorough evaluation before engaging with Petland Jacksonville.

We came in today to browse around for a potential new member to the family . Let me say boy oh my do I feel so bad for the dogs , let me start off by saying multiple dogs were all in the same 2x4 container with wire bottoms . Half of them had 💩 under them , the one dog I held was leaking from the nose so bad i had no idea what was going on . The price for the specific dog was $5,400 !!!!! WHAT ….. sure they pull the certification papers and paint the picture very pretty. I’ve paid a good penny for dogs before , I won’t buy a dog that’s getting torn apart by other dogs sitting in their own feces shaking and screaming for help . I had the leave the store immediately made me want to CRY! How are they still in business is beyond me !! Only ones to truly feel sorry for here are those innocent puppies… I wouldn’t recommend this place if it was the last store in the world selling puppies .!!!!

Sold me a dog with kennel cough that they claimed had already been given antibiotics and would be fine in a couple days. Come to find out, they supposedly mixed his records up with another dog and my dog has never been treated for it, so they sold me a sick dog and then refused to cover his treatment 2 days after I bought him, even after purchasing their insurance and taking him to their recommended vet. My only recourse is to take them to small claims court. I purchased the dog for $800 and my first vet bill is over $600. Update : he was now diagnosed with pneumonia

DISCRIMINATION! My friends and I are upperclassmen at UNF. Full time students with steady part time jobs and saved a decent amount of money over the years. We work hard and we are incredible pet parents. That’s said, when we can to visit the puppies and enjoy some play time with them, we were refused. Meanwhile, other people coming in to the store were freely allowed to visit with the same puppies we requested to play with and there were no questions. We were told the puppies had limited playtime today (Friday) after distinctly hearing a staff member tell a couple they had open free time for the puppies to play today. What the lies? Is this because we are college students? You can’t see is being able to afford or care for puppies like these? Because you couldn’t be more wrong. Instead of stereotyping people that come in and ruling out puppies from potentially amazing homes, why not offer everyone that walks in the door the same opportunity. Equal opportunity. It’s in the best interest of all the animals. Including puppies. Instead I was offered a bunny (eye roll). If I came in for a bunny, I would have asked for a bunny. I wanted to spend time with and get to know the puppies. Never again will I do business with these people. My parents got there mini golden doodle from here and after I told them how we were treated- they said NEVER AGAIN. Very disappointing, Petland.

It is unbelievable that a store will not give a price over the phone. You have to drive there not knowing if it's going to be $500 or $3,000. And the only thing that was said was there's a lot that comes with the puppies. Okay well tell me what comes with the puppy then and a price? So I don't have to waste time. That just goes to show that they believe that their times more important than their possible customers time!
