I had an outrageous experience with the grooming department at Millville today. I scheduled an appointment to bring my 2 Cocker Spaniels in for their grooming - our first time there as we recently moved to the area. When my husband and I arrived, we were asked for proof of rabies vaccine - we were never told to bring that when we scheduled the appointment, but fortunately they were able to call the local vet we use and got the necessary info. They then asked if either dog has any health issues. My one pup has epilepsy and we manage it with meds and neuro vet visits. We were then informed they could not groom my pup as grooming him with his condition was a violation of corporate policy. WHAT?!?!? One of the explanations was "if he gets a snip and starts to bleed and we have to take him to a vet, the medication might not mix with his meds". Again, WHAT?!?!?! If he got snipped and started to bleed, wouldn't you just call me?!?!?! My dog is a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel - OF COURSE he gets groomed. P.S. - one of the "techs" told my husband that I was asked about health issues when I made the appointment because she "over heard" the conversation - effectively calling me a liar because that question was never asked.

I love the Millville store. Great customer service, clean, and knowledgeable. I prefer going into the store instead of purchasing online. Had 2 bad experiences back to back with online shipping method and now prefer to do indoor shopping or customer pick up.

Petco Millville has been my go to store for dog supplies since I moved to Delaware four years ago. Whether ordering online for pick-up or browsing in-store I always get friendly and knowledgeable service. We adopted a young blue heeler, Koya, a few months ago and she is friendly but strong as a bull and wild as a bear. We decided to enroll her in group dog training. Our trainer, Tami Pearl, bonded with Koya quickly and we came home from the very first class with a better behaved dog. After six classes, Koya no longer jumps on visitors, knows sit, wait and other commands and is so much easier to live with. Koya enjoyed the classes so much we enrolled her for the advanced class. She absolutely loves Tami. I highly recommend training and shopping at Petco.

I got a great sweater on sale for my girl. The store was clean and service was friendly. Although I asked the young man at the register how the sweater looked on my dog and he said,"goofy, how the hair on her legs looks". Now would you say that to a customer. I was a bit offended. If he is there next time I go in chances I will leave and return at a different time. Dont worry Molly, you dont look goofy. What do you think?
