I needed roaches for my bearded dragon. It was my first time at this Petco. I figured that the setup was pretty much the same for all Petcos. So I headed out to where the reptile supplies were. I was right. I found the roaches no problem. Headed up to the front and checked out. I didn't have to wait in line. I would have given five stars if the selection of mealworm was better. I didn't buy any as they didn't look good to me. Trust me I am very fussy when it comes to my beardie's food.

I visited Petco today to exchange some items for my dog, and the experience was quite disappointing. Initially, I had to ask for assistance three times before receiving any help, which was frustrating in itself. During the exchange process, the cashier informed me that there was an additional $5 charge. When I questioned this, since I was simply exchanging items, the cashier responded in a rude manner, saying, "This is how it is in America." As someone with an accent, I found this comment deeply offensive and inappropriate. It felt like an unnecessary jab at my background rather than a professional explanation of store policies. The entire experience left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. I hope Petco addresses this behavior to ensure a more inclusive and respectful environment for all customers. I was only asking him just because I wanted to know why ??? This is how it is America Im probably more American than you !!! Racist !! I didn’t know his name bur he’s a white talk guy skinny askas too much Hopefully this can be fixed no one can tolerate racism

I should have looked at the self-wash reviews before going. The staff is rude and makes no effort to help customers. I went in today to wash my dog, who is terrified of water. I thought I'd give him 5 minutes to get used to the space and being tied to the wall, so I was standing with him while petting him. At first, I was told (rudely) by one employee that I could not wash him while standing in the tab area - this made sense since I imagine they don't want people to fall and be liable for it. However, two minutes later another equally rude employee came by to tell me I could not stand there even though I wasn't washing the dog. To be clear, this area is one that every customer has to access in order to safely restrict their pet. When I asked for clarification, the policy was explained with: "we can't have you there". Unable to give my dog a few minutes to get acclimated, I packed my items and proceeded to leave store. As I walked out the two male workers made no attempt to discuss the fact that they had just taken $20 while preventing me from using the facility. Avoid this treatment if you can.
