One review details a concerning experience regarding flea treatment services. The customer recounts being offered flea treatments, but upon arriving with their dog, they were allegedly refused service due to the presence of fleas. This raises questions about the store's protocols and communication regarding such services. The reviewer also mentions a comb used by a staff member that reportedly had fleas, which is a significant hygiene concern.
Another customer review expresses dissatisfaction with the in-store service. This individual reported a lack of assistance in finding a specific dog food and a negative checkout experience where the cashier allegedly did not acknowledge them and continued with another task before processing their payment. This feedback suggests potential issues with staff attentiveness and customer service at this particular Petco location. It is important for potential customers to consider these experiences when deciding whether to visit this store.

Apr 04, 2025 · NJGCPoor service. No one helped me find the dog food I was looking for. When I finally headed to checkout the girl didn’t even bother to acknowledge me she just rug me up and kept doing her project. I had to wait for her to stop counting and so I can pay!! Not returning
Feb 24, 2025 · Carla CavalieMy son bought a bag of food for our dog but he purchase the incorrect flavor only, so I came to exchange it but they didn’t accept it not even with my ID even though I was purchasing more bags of food. The manager didn’t help in anything very unprofessional from the start when I was looking for my dog food. He said whatever is out so I got The smaller bags but as I’m walking out I see the big bags which I wanted at first and I had to go back to The register and exchange.
Jan 19, 2025 · Freddy ChirinosAbsolutely horrible customer experience. Today we took our 5 month old puppy (less than 10 pounds) to the grooming service at petco in Kendall. First off i was attended by "Natalia" who has zero customer service skills and lacks the capacity to even be in a customer facing position. We did have an appointment and when we got there she stated it would be 3 to 4 hours ! I was shocked. This is by far not my first dog or the first time I've done business with a dog groomer. That did not stop her from speaking to me like a child, even repeating things as if i didnt understand her. We left the dog thinking maybe this is something they just tell people to get them out of the store and they don't even have a place for people to sit and wait if the needed to. 2 hours pass and my wife calls for an update.. gets the same young lady on the phone and she proceeds to be antagonistic and stated that in the 2 hours our dog was there all they did was give her a bath. The lady proceeds to tell my wife, in a very smart attitude, said if you want you can come and pick her up now. For the record when I dropped off my dog there was only 1 dog there and they were done with that before I left the store. Repeating for the tenth time the possibility of the dog being new there that they may have to only do bath, face feet and fanny as they call it. Saying the dog may freak out. This puppy is the most passive calm and sweet dog I've ever seen. There's no way this puppy would be difficult. Another hour and a half went by and I finally get the call that she was done. I get my form and before I go to pay the young lady says in a loud voice.. "oh we were only able to do face feet and fanny". I can guarantee that this person maliciously didn't do anything for our puppy. This person 100% didn't do the hair cut and only reason we went there for. Three and a half hours later nothing done. So I go to the front and ask the guy at register to let me have the store managers name. He in very low voice said "the guy behind me". Told me his name was "Andres". So I finished paying for the bath.. not the haircut.. I walked over to the gentleman and said I know you're busy, can I have a business card to reach you? He said he didn't have a card... so I asked how I can reach him and he said there's a number on the top of the receipt.. I said ok... we'll what's your name? He said "Andres" so i asked for his last name and he said "I don't give out my name" . I asked again "you're the store manager ? He said yes... and failed to identify himself further as the "store manager". No wonder his staff is how they are. Hopefully you guys are reading this.. we will also be emailing corporate offices. Do not expect any actual "customer service" here .
Mar 30, 2025 · Alfred HuedSunday, went to see if I could purchase a new impeller for my aquarium filter. Didn’t have them anymore so I needed up purchasing two fish. I’m still laughing because I’ve never ever seen a person try to catch a fish by putting a plastic container in the tank and with her other hand she was trying to direct the fish to swim inside. Much to my amazement one was caught that way. However the second one wasn’t so easy. She tried and tried, until I said I’ve never seen anyone do it the way you are trying. Her response was she didn’t want to hurt their fins. So I said doesn’t the store provide you with a net. Kinda acted disgusted as she went to get a net. LOL, she came back with a 2” net…..hardly large enough to catch a tiny shrimp. I watch and watched, and it wasn’t working. So I said you really need a larger net. Next comes maybe a 3”4” net. Finally the fish was caught. Clearly she wasn’t properly instructed on how to catch a fish. Putting unwashed hands and arms inside a tank isn’t the most responsible thing to do. And she was a small person thst could have used a small step up stool. I’m still scratching my head and laughing. It was her attitude of what seemed not wanting to do the job that I’m most concerned with. Although she did say have a nice day. Maybe that’s a plus I don’t know but surely practicing corralling a fish is a necessity at this point.
