Petco

I've been a loyal customer at this Petco for years, but my last visit really disappointed me. I saw two Syrian hamsters housed together, which is a big no-no for their safety. Plus, the small animal enclosures were messy—one hamster wheel had fallen, and the ferrets' hiding spots were all over the place. It feels like the animals aren't getting the care they need, which is concerning. I hope management steps up to improve conditions. It’s sad to see when you’ve always trusted a place to care for pets.

Whoever this employee is needs to be fired immediately. He got into an argument with the lady in front of me for absolutely no reason (keep in mind he works at Petco, there’s nothing of significance happening inside this business at all. They sell dog food and cat beds) and then when I went up to purchase, he wanted to debate me for 5 minutes about how my Petco phone number is wrong. The fact of the matter is, there’s nothing to discuss at Petco. Employees need to check people out, and let them leave. Simple as that. However, for this individual this simple task is far too difficult. At one point, he even resorted to throwing my receipt on the ground because he wanted to start an argument with me about my PHONE NUMBER at Petco. He also said “touch me” at one point in an attempt to start a physical confrontation, which is absolutely absurd given the subject matter at hand. This person CLEARLY cannot handle doing a public facing job, and by keeping this incompetent and borerline deranged person around, Petco is actively proving that in no way are they looking out for the best interests of their customers. Until this individual is no longer working there, I would highly advise not going to this Petco location.

I waited 15 minutes past my appointment time for them to tell me my dog couldn’t get groomed because of a policy against dogs who have a history of seizures. My dog is 12 years old and has been groomed by Petco on and off his whole life. he has never been barred from being groomed nor has he ever had an incident while in Petco’s care. Additionally, he has been medically cleared by veterinarians for his issues for years. Apparently what’s good for DVMs isn’t good for Petco. I was never given prior notice or a disclaimer stating their policy otherwise i would not taken the time to go there or keep my appointment. It was a disappointing and unnecessary experience.

Absolutely love coming to the Vetco clinic here. I bring all 3 of my pets here (2 cats and 1 dog). The doctors and staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. I’m very picky of where I take my pets for medical care. I would highly recommend bringing your pet here for any needs. Thank you for everything thus far!
