May 06, 2025 · Felicia WoodsI bought a baby boa that was in close proximity to ball pythons. He was fine, happy and sweet. We held him. They couldn’t tell us sex or age, which was fine. Told me he ate fine Thursday. I was concerned because he was so close to ball pythons with concerns of IBD. He couldn’t have been a couple at max and being generous with age. They handled him with no sanitizer. We fell in love with him took him home, within hour noticed he had scale rot possibly mouth rot didn’t know at time. I have six other pythons, so I have a lot of experience and help with python vendors on side. Gave him water made sure heat and temps were right. He seemed to be happy and thriving. Went to work next day and came home after 14 hour shift. His head was significantly swollen and he was acting lethargic. It was almost midnight when I had gotten home. Soaked in warm water to try to hydrate. Cleaned out his new set up and did paper towels so it was more sterile. Was planning on taking him to my exotic vet Monday since he was bought Friday night around 7 pm, acting normal the next morning, and then progressed in 12 hours. I stayed up with him. 8 hours later he passed away on Sunday morning. We took him back at 10 am Sunday. I expressed concerns for mouth rot, scale rot, and IBD with him being in close proximity to ball pythons or having an illness that was possibly contagious. They were nice but dismissive about concerns. They told me I should have brought him back sooner, but it was less than 30 hours at midnight when things were noticed. I brought up IBD again for the other reptiles, and she seemed to laugh it off. I know it’s awkward when it comes to dead animals. Like I said she was sweet, but very dismissive. We went to look at the snakes, hoping it would have cheered me up. There was a spider banana ball python next to his unclean enclosure. I did get refund. My review is more concerns for selling a sick animal and then dismissive about concerns being experienced python owner and having a rescue boa I adopted with all the concerns that I expressed about this little one. I am concerned if it was something like IBD, mixed with mouth rot or scale rot, or respiratory infections just with how he was, and there wasn’t much care about the seriousness of it for the other reptiles. Just the dismissive attitude and handling the snake that died without gloves or sanitizer. Just wanted to share my concerns. It wasn’t about money for me but more the animal safety. They were nice, but just dismissive about overall health concerns.

The store is clean and has some really good deals on some things. Everyone had a smile and was very friendly. I would recommend this location to anyone. I will definitely be taking my dog back here for all her grooming needs.
Apr 16, 2025 · CharityWe had appointments for shots. Petco made us wait for almost an hour. Not very organized. People who had appts after our time were checking in and allowed to take our times. I don't think they managed that well at all. They should have just labeled it "Walk-in Clinic". Why schedule appts. Anyway, the people in line were all nice and had some nice dogs and cats. One dog was getting ansy, he was a pup. One of the Petco Assistant Vets kept stopping the shots and going over to stand there and look at the puppy. It caused everyone a longer wait time. She should have worked on moving the line quicker to get them up there and out of the store.
Apr 22, 2025 · Vivian GoodBEWARE, of Petco's GROOMING DEPARTMENT! My small dog came home with a severe stomach bug that took a week to clear up and $400 veterinarian bill to remedy. I know my dog contracted something while getting groomed at Petco because she came home lethargic with no appetite after spending almost half a day there and then had diarrhea after her visit. My dog is a small house dog that does not go outside (pee pad trained) and is not around other pets or children. The only outside contact my dog had was with Petco's Grooming Department. I will never bring my animal here again for grooming or shopping. The groomer never came to work on time and scheduled appointments for dog clients for them to sit in a nasty kennel awaiting their grooming for hours. My appointments times were changed and services that I did not want were added. This place has some poor business practices and lack of sanitation between animal care.
