Petco

3/6/2025 - I ordered some items online, and one was a Kong for our dog. When it came in, it was super small. We took it to the store for an exchange. The associate was very helpful. I got the size we wanted and picked up the cheese and bacon flavored spray can for it. Our dog loves it!

Emily who is an employee at your store, and is supposed to be generating sales for the company was trying to stop us from purchasing 30¢ fish for a little boy right infront of him. He was so excited picking things out for his tiny plastic fish tank and Emily took it upon herself to come up to us and in front of him say that she didn’t recommend for us to get him fish because it was too much work. After saying we were only interested in the gold fish she proceeded to say “He will not be able to keep up with it, those fish pee and poop a lot, we clean our tank every single day and it’s still dirty, so I really don’t recommend fish for him. I have a tank with Betta fish and I spend roughly $400 on it a month not including my other pets, i don’t think fish are a good idea for him” she hurt his feelings and he started putting his things he had picked out back. On top of that assumed we could not afford to keep up with the care of fish. Nobody told her we were trying to build an aquarium for him to look after. He wanted a fish so we went to buy him a fish, what kid do you know that isn’t excited about getting a fish at the fair? same idea, except that companies like yours mass reproduce for the sole purpose of SELLING. Emily had no business trying to talk us out of buying our little boy a fish right infront of him, i’m sure she was aware of the excitement in the kids eyes while picking out the accessories for their tiny fish tank. I think employees should be trained to do their job and only give out recommendations when they are asked for them, by employees I mean Emily.

Nicole & Angel man oh man. Customer service is above and beyond! I come here at least once a month to get some dog and cat food. Everytime I have a problem with the app. Nicole helped me and even showede how to do the app. As it still wasn't working, Nicole called Angel over n he was happy to help n see what the problem was n with no hesitation helped me with a smile. This is the reason why I keep coming back! Thank you Nicole and Angel !!

Came in yesterday was having a lot of trouble with the app n the cyber deal n store pick up. I got to the store frustrated with a frozen phone on the app. I got there n was helped by Nicole, who also was confused with what was happening. Not only did she calm me down but actually took the time to go aside with me & help me out. On e she realized the app was glitching she immediately called the manager Angel over. He not only gave me the cyber discount (as I was trying to purchase online in the parking lot 4 a pickup), but was happy to do it! This will be my new Petco store! You guys rock

:( I’m sad. They made my yorkie look like a homeless chihuahua. Didn’t even cut the ear hairs and left him so bald and ugly. The haircut wasn’t what I was expecting, still tipped her though cause I’m not a mean person. I’ll just stick to petsmart for grooming. :(
