Petco

Purchased 2 teddy bear hamsters less than 2 weeks ago. Returned 1 because he was cold and shaking, turned out to be wet tail and now the other one was found deceased this morning after noticing last night that he also developed wet tail. They were not housed together once I brought them home, but they were housed together at the store. I spent over $200 to get everything we needed for both hamsters. My 2 children are heartbroken. I was in their store recently to get supplies for another animal of ours and noticed a handful of deceased beta fish on the shelf. This is a horrible place to get animals from. Completely unacceptable!

It's nice to have a few choices in the area for pet shops. I hadn't been in and figured I'd stop in. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have any adoptable pets available. (Just my thought on it. Exposure increases the chances of adoption). Lots for dogs. Not as much for cats.

Came from out of state looking for a specific treat from the treat bar, but they don't have it. That isnt the reason for the low review. When I walked in, I was blasted in the face by filthy small-animal cage smells. It smelled like they hadnt been cleaned in at least a week. The ferret cage also smelled horribly of feces and they had no litter. I have three ferrets and know what a clean cage smells like. This was NOT it. The fish tanks were filthy and had dead/dying fish. Two of the parakeets looked ill. One of the chameleons seemed to be having a mental breakdown. One of the bettas was dead. This place needs to be inspected and fined. Will absolutely never be back.

Drove all the way from Walhalla to get aquarium shrimp. Got there and only one employee was working the register. Told him we needed someone to help us get fish. After several minutes, asked again. Waited probably 20 mins for someone to help us. No one did. Left disappointed.

I am grateful for the groomers at Petco. I took my dog to Petsmart and didn't have a good experience. I have been with Petco eversince. I will pay more money for my dog to be treated well than not. The groomers have been so wonderful with my dog, Coco. She loves them and is always trying to push the door open to go back there with them. Coco has been groomed by Karlie, Destiny, and Ali. Today was Ali's first time with Coco. I had to cancel my appointment and rebook. Karlie and Destiny weren't available so I booked with Ali. When I dropped Coco off, I said, "I know Karlie has worked with her on the blow dryer but if she gives you a fit don't stress about it. We can towel dry her. No worries." Coco used to be scared of the blow dryer. Alie told me that Karlie went over with her what Coco likes and doesn't like. My dog is spoiled. I thought that was very sweet of Karlie. They all have been great. I have no complaints. I would recommend any of them. Thank you ladies for being wonderful! I want you all to know that yall are very much appreciated. Thanks for all you do!! Coco loves you all! 😀
