Kriser's Natural Pet Introduce
For pet owners in Denver, CO, seeking a "Pet Store Near Me" that emphasizes natural products and a holistic approach to pet wellness, Kriser's Natural Pet, located at 1910 Chestnut Pl, Denver, CO 80202, stands as a notable option. With a phone number of (303) 295-0922, this establishment aims to be a comprehensive resource for various pet needs. This detailed introduction will explore the known aspects of Kriser's Natural Pet, including its environment, services, features, and available promotional information, all synthesized from publicly available online data, including customer reviews.
The environment of Kriser's Natural Pet is designed with a specific philosophy in mind: to be an inviting, clean, and aesthetically pleasing space, as articulated by the brand's founder. Unlike the perception of some conventional pet stores, Kriser's strives for an open, friendly atmosphere. This emphasis on a pleasant environment is crucial for both pet parents and their furry companions. While direct descriptions of the Denver store's specific layout are not extensively detailed, the overall brand identity suggests a well-organized retail space that prioritizes the display of its curated natural products. The concept aims to create a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel comfortable exploring products and engaging with staff. However, one review mentions dogs looking "traumatized" after leaving, which could suggest that for some pets, certain in-store experiences, possibly related to grooming, might be stressful, indicating that while the general environment aims for positive, individual pet reactions can vary.
Kriser's Natural Pet offers a robust array of services and goods, aligning with its "natural pet" specialization. At its core, the store provides a wide selection of natural and high-quality pet foods, treats, and supplies. This includes brands known for human-grade ingredients, ethically sourced meats, and non-GMO fruits and vegetables. The staff, often referred to as "Pack Members," are reportedly highly educated on these products, assisting customers in selecting the best diet for their pets' unique needs. One satisfied customer, a first-time pet owner, specifically praised the owner's knowledge and guidance in setting up for their new "fur babies," including recommendations for vaccinations. Beyond products, Kriser's is well-known for its grooming services. These services encompass bathing, brushing, blow drying, de-matting, hair cutting/trimming, gland expression, teeth brushing, and nail clipping/grinding. They emphasize an upscale styling experience, aiming to improve a pet's physical appearance while prioritizing their well-being. Some locations also offer self-wash facilities. Furthermore, Kriser's frequently hosts in-store clinics, such as anesthesia-free dental clinics, providing specialized care options for pets directly within the store, enhancing its role as a full-service pet wellness center.
Several key features define Kriser's Natural Pet. A paramount feature is its unwavering commitment to natural and holistic pet wellness. Every product stocked, from food to supplements and toys, undergoes a vetting process by the company's founder, Brad Kriser, often including personal tasting of food products. This "Kriser's Approved" stamp signifies a dedication to quality and natural ingredients, free from corn, soy, or by-products. Another significant feature is the emphasis on staff expertise and education. Employees undergo extensive training on food ingredients and product knowledge, positioning them as reliable resources for pet parents navigating various health and nutritional concerns. The store also features a comprehensive loyalty program, "Friends of Kriser's," which rewards members with 4% back on every purchase (including services) and offers a "Frequent Buyer Program" for free bags of food and treats from participating brands. This program adds significant value for regular customers, encouraging repeat business and fostering a sense of community. The availability of online appointment booking for grooming and self-wash services, along with same-day delivery options within a 15-mile radius, further enhances convenience for customers. Despite these positive features, a notable point of concern arises from a negative customer review, which describes a manager as "rudest" and a cashier as "incompetent" and attempting to "rob" them. This highlights a potential inconsistency in customer service experience, suggesting that while the general ethos is positive, individual staff interactions can significantly impact customer perception. The mention of dogs looking "traumatized" after leaving could also point to a feature of their grooming service that might not be suitable for all pets or could indicate a need for more sensitive handling in some cases.
From a promotional standpoint, Kriser's Natural Pet leverages various strategies to attract and retain customers. The "Friends of Kriser's" loyalty program is a central promotional tool, effectively rewarding customer loyalty with tangible benefits like cash back and free products. This program is transparent, tracking purchases and notifying customers when they've earned rewards. Beyond the loyalty program, Kriser's frequently offers specific product promotions, such as "Buy 3, Get 1 Free" on certain chews, "Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off" on specific meal mixers, and various dollar-off discounts on popular food brands. These promotions are often available both online and in-store, catering to different shopping preferences. The store also promotes in-store events, such as the anesthesia-free dental clinics, which not only provide a valuable service but also serve as a draw for new and existing customers. Past promotions have also included "Puppy & New Dog Starter Kits" in partnership with acclaimed trainers, offering bundled discounts and educational resources for new pet parents. Seasonal sales and featured collections (e.g., "Spring Essentials," "Dental Care Essentials," "Puppy Essentials") are also employed to highlight relevant products. Kriser's also benefits from its connection to a network of sister stores, Chuck & Don's, allowing loyalty points and rewards to be redeemed across locations, further expanding customer reach and convenience. While no immediate grand opening or celebratory events are detailed, the brand's history indicates that such events, including "pet Karnivals" with giveaways and radio remotes, have been part of their promotional efforts in the past, suggesting a dynamic approach to engaging the community.
In conclusion, Kriser's Natural Pet at 1910 Chestnut Pl, Denver, CO, presents itself as a dedicated "Pet Store Near Me" focusing on natural and holistic pet care. Its environment aims to be welcoming, its services extensive (including natural food, grooming, and specialized clinics), and its features include a strong emphasis on product quality, knowledgeable staff, and a rewarding loyalty program. While generally well-regarded for its product selection and helpful staff, some customer experiences point to potential inconsistencies in service delivery, particularly regarding individual staff interactions and the comfort of pets during certain services. Prospective customers can benefit from the store's various promotions and commitment to natural products, but a balanced view, considering both positive and negative feedback, is always advisable when choosing a pet care provider.

Feb 08, 2025 · Cinnamon JonesAVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! The guy thats the manager is the rudest person I have ever encountered in my life. We weren’t huge fans of him after a couple disrespectful comments hes told us in the past but we kept coming back since its affordable to get certain things done there. The blonde girl working at the cashier’s today was super incompetent and tried to rob from us. Will never come back to this place. The dogs always look traumatized after leaving there anyway so we should have paid attention to that more closely. Give business to other local people who actually deserve it!
May 12, 2025 · Marta Rosado GarcieLove this place! Chris, the manager Sydney and Megan the groomers are so helpful knowledgeable and top-notch. I have an older dog with high blood pressure and serious anxiety issues and they have been so helpful and wonderful with him.
Apr 04, 2025 · LauraThey were easily able to fix my dogs paw & nails after somewhere else messed them up and didn't listen to instructions. It was his first haircut since I rescued him, he is traumatized by his fur being long so I had to get it cut because he kept trying to yank, pull and bite it out. He still had mats in his paws from when he was rescued, they didn't get them out and I had no idea because of how his fur was on his paws. He's even more happier now and isn't licking the bottom of his paws anymore. He'll be coming here for now on. He's a rescue, so still gets nervous and needs someone who understands him. Nobody knows his story on why he's so weird about certain things like his paws. We tried the CBD with melatonin, which he fights until I'm asleep but it still calms him down a little. He has started sleeping through the night better, and not waking to bark at other dogs, noises outside and at something he's not too used to. As his body adjusts im sure they will help even more. He looks forward to the treat every night, at first he was skeptical and took a few minutes to eat it. Once he realized that he liked it, he's been asking for one every night. He knows exactly where they're and will just stare at them patiently. I'll be trying another one a different time that will be a little more helpful during the day, especially if he knows I'm not feeling well. He doesn't like others waking me 🤣, and will get mad. He's a good guard dog but can be a little dramatic lol. He still gets extremely anxious so I'm hoping that will help, especially because he wants more dog friends but his bark is loud for how small he's and uneducated people think he's being aggressive when he's just wanting to say hi. Him & his friends will literally have barking contest at random times of the day and that's the bark he uses, which is the same when playing. Even with me, he's just loud. We'll be back soon where he'll have a much better haircutting experience. He came back for his 2nd haircut Sunday & not only was Sydney amazing, he did great too. He loves his new look & has gotten so many comments. He still smells great 4 days later! He definitely feels better with his fur shorter & is still a ladies man. The Mohawk did not disappoint! People can actually tell he's a boy now 🤣. I think at times he honestly looks like a dinosaur 🦕. Which I love as well!
May 22, 2024 · Paris PatrickThis place is great for folks looking for variety of proteins or non-protein based foods and treats! Our dogo is allergic to everything but rabbit and this place had plenty of kibbles, treats, and frozen items. Definitely stop in if you're looking for something new or reliable!
